You know what struck me first about Hotel Kasbah Le Mirage? It’s actually tucked away in the Palmeraie area, which honestly feels like a different world from the chaos of central Marrakech. I mean, you’re still only about 15 minutes from Jemaa el-Fnaa, but suddenly you’re surrounded by actual palm groves instead of motorbikes honking every two seconds. The hotel itself has this sort of fortress-like entrance – very kasbah-style, obviously – but once you’re inside, it opens up into these gorgeous courtyards with fountains that you can actually hear over the evening call to prayer echoing from nearby mosques.

The rooms are solid for a 4-star place, though I’ll be honest, some feel a bit dated (the bathrooms especially could use a refresh). But here’s the thing – the spa is genuinely impressive. They do traditional hammam treatments that feel authentic, not like the touristy versions you’ll find in the medina hotels. The staff there actually knows what they’re doing, and the argan oil they use smells incredible. The pool area is where this place really shines though – it’s surrounded by palm trees and stays surprisingly quiet even when the hotel’s busy. I spent most afternoons there reading and swimming, and you get this perfect view of the Atlas Mountains on clear days.

What I really appreciated was how they handle the whole “authentic Morocco” thing without going overboard. The architecture feels genuine – lots of carved wood and traditional tilework – but they haven’t crammed every surface with carpets and lanterns like some places do. The restaurant serves decent tagines (though honestly, you’ll find better in the medina), and breakfast is that standard international spread but with some nice local touches like fresh dates and Moroccan pastries. The 7.5 rating seems about right – it’s not going to blow your mind, but it’s comfortable and peaceful, which is exactly what you want after spending days getting lost in the souks. Plus, getting a taxi from here is way easier than from those riads buried deep in the old city, and you’ve got actual space to spread out. If you’re looking for that resort-style relaxation with easy access to Marrakech’s craziness, this place hits the sweet spot.

  Great breakfast. Lovely pool but was very cold so couldn't use it. Nice cosy room. The typical decor of the hotel is lovely.

  The authenticity of the venue, the architecture of the building and the welcoming atmosphere of the team. The multiple Terraces and the pool are very nice even during winter time.

  What could be improved: Bit far from main Marrakech city however they provide free taxi ride to town from 10 to 13.00 and 15.00 to 19.30 but you can only choose one time slot a day which is not enough .

  the staff’s really helpful and welcoming. the property is easily reachable from marrakech – but useful advice is, do not try to reach it from the direction of the palmerie cause there’s no road from there.

  What could be improved: only thing i would say as negative is the breakfast. there are a lot of delcious sweet cakes but i missed the wider selection of salty foods like eggs or cheeses.
