Hotel Riu Tikida Garden – Adults Only – All Inclusive Overview

So you’re looking at this adults-only Riu place in Marrakech’s Palmeraie area, and honestly? It’s one of those spots that gets the balance right between being fancy enough to feel special without trying too hard to impress you. The location is actually pretty clever – you’re about 15 minutes from the medina chaos (which trust me, you’ll appreciate having distance from after a day of haggling in the souks), but still close enough that taxis don’t cost a fortune to get into the city center.

What really struck me about this place is how they’ve nailed the whole “adults-only” thing without making it feel stuffy or pretentious. The pools are these gorgeous, sprawling affairs where you can actually hear yourself think – no kids screaming or pool volleyball tournaments at 8 AM. The gardens are legitimately beautiful too, with these massive palm trees that provide actual shade (not just decorative wisps like some places). I mean, when you’re dealing with Marrakech heat, shade becomes a legitimate obsession. The all-inclusive setup works well here because they’ve got multiple restaurants, and the Moroccan place actually serves decent tagines – not the tourist-trap versions you get in some hotel dining rooms. The staff genuinely seems to know what they’re doing, especially the guys at the pool bar who remember your drink preferences after day two.

Here’s what I’d want someone to know before booking: the rooms are comfortable and clean, though not particularly Instagram-worthy if that matters to you. The Wi-Fi is solid throughout the property, which isn’t always a given in Morocco. Parking is free and easy, which is huge if you’re planning to rent a car and explore the Atlas Mountains or coastal areas. The clientele tends to be European couples in their 30s and up, so it’s got this relaxed, international vibe without being too party-heavy. You’ll hear French, German, and English around the pools pretty equally. One small thing – the evening entertainment can get a bit loud if your room faces the main terrace, but honestly, it usually wraps up by 10 PM anyway. The hammam on-site is worth trying at least once, though if you want the full traditional experience, you’ll still want to hit one of the authentic ones in the medina. For what it is – a solid 4-star all-inclusive where you can decompress between Marrakech adventures or just park yourself for a week of doing absolutely nothing – it delivers exactly what it promises.

Reviews of Hotel Riu Tikida Garden – Adults Only – All Inclusive

  • Very stay loved it. Would return – Natalie from United Kingdom – 20 June 2025 (8/10)

The pool area was lovely and very very clean. The rooms were clean and comfortable.

The bus to the main area was very good.

Staff were lovely. They went would remember your bar order.

What could be improved: There was often a very bad smell coming from the drain in the bathroom when we would come back from the pool area. It would come at night aswell.

I found the food was a bit samey. It was good but it was samey. Pizza and pasta wasn’t great. Pizza base wasn’t nice and pasta was over cooked.

I also did not like that in the buffet the coffee was very a machine with powdered milk. It was not the best but the coffee at the bar area was real coffee and milk.

  • Perfect place for relaxing stay – Zaiga from Latvia – 18 June 2025 (9/10)

Beautiful, relaxed hotel , clean rooms, friendly staff, water bottles available , entertainment every night, big choice of food to cater every needs

What could be improved: People being able to reserve sun beds at 6.00 in the morning and then not using it until like 2 in the afternoon – so they taking space that someone else could have used , because of that, if you wanted a sun bed available you have to get up at 6-7am and go put the towel down

  • Beautiful place – Alexandra from United Kingdom – 29 May 2025 (9/10)

Beautiful gardens. Such lush greenery. Good choice of pools. There’s music but the lively ones and none by the peaceful one. Good to have that option. Loved our room too.

Great Moroccan breakfast options. A lovely lady cooked flatbreads fresh every morning.

The staff were great, especially the 3 women on reception.

What could be improved: Minor niggle. The food was not very luxurious. It was perfectly fine but nothing was wow.

  • A pleasant stay – Leon from Sweden – 25 April 2025 (9/10)

Nice rooms, nice pools and nice staff for the most part. The food was good and the rooms were nice and looked like in the pictures. The location is good, not too far from the city centre.

What could be improved: The staff at the gym and spa were awful. Rude and unfriendly for no reason whatsoever. Rest of the staff around the hotel were excellent however. The lack of information in the room regarding all the facilities such as breakfast, lunch and dinner times was a bit annoying. Would have helped with a small map or something to navigate around the hotel area.

  • Lovely hotel and staff – Lyndsey from United Kingdom – 20 April 2025 (8/10)

    Pool was nice, rooms comfortable,

What could be improved: Small cups for the drinks

  • Not happy with RUI as they informed me that I was staying at another hotel, when we arrived they had no notification of – Stephen from United Kingdom – 25 March 2025 (9/10)

Friendly staff, good food, nice quality of the hotel.

What could be improved: Noise in our room from the Zanzibar bar area in the evenings

  • Two sides of Marrakesh – Dave7172 from France – 15 March 2025 (9/10)

The food, for an all-inclusive, was excellent. Overall, the staff were all very accommodating. The public areas, both inside and out, were kept very clean. And hotel security was good.
The location was a little far from the centre, in an area typically Moroccan, which gave a feel of the real Marrakesh.

What could be improved: The shuttle, to the medina, could have either a greater capacity, or greater frequency. You had to book at least 2 days in advance to be certain of a place on the bus.

  • Good – Adelaide from United Kingdom – 23 February 2025 (7/10)

everything chef was amzing manager too

What could be improved: not staying longer

  • Superb – Aleksander from Poland – 22 February 2025 (9/10)

What could be improved: In ther past I have been in RIU's in Agadir as well as in Spain. Riu Tikida in Agadir had excellent Marrocan cuisine. I have the impression that Marrakesh didn't match this elevel of excellency

  • Good – Jennifer from Ireland – 20 February 2025 (7/10)

    Rooms. Pools. Gardens. Cleanliness. Staff.

What could be improved: Food….poor quality. Entertainment. Drinks in plastic glasses ( tasted bad).
