Look, I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Jardin Majorelle Appartement on Boulevard Allal Al Fassi, I wasn’t expecting much. The address puts you in Daoudiate, which isn’t exactly the postcard-perfect medina that everyone talks about, but you know what? That turned out to be exactly why I loved this place.

The building itself has this understated elegance that grows on you. It’s named after the famous Majorelle Garden (which, by the way, is actually pretty close if you’re planning to visit), and there’s definitely something about the aesthetic that nods to that iconic blue without being cheesy about it. The apartments – and these are proper apartments, not just hotel rooms with a kitchenette thrown in – have this lived-in quality that makes you feel like you’re staying in someone’s thoughtfully designed home rather than a generic hotel box. The morning light filtering through the windows is something else, especially if you’re up early enough to catch it before the city fully wakes up. I mean, Marrakech gets intense once the sun climbs higher, so those quiet morning moments on the balcony with mint tea became my daily ritual.

What really sold me on this place was how it sits in the real Marrakech – the one where locals actually live and work. You’re not trapped in the tourist bubble, but you’re also not so far out that getting to Jemaa el-Fnaa becomes a whole expedition. The neighborhood has this authentic rhythm to it. There’s a little épicerie just down the street where the owner started recognizing me after a couple days, and honestly, those small interactions made the whole trip feel more genuine. The 4-star rating feels about right – it’s polished and comfortable without being stuffy, and the 8.8 guest rating makes sense because it’s the kind of place that exceeds expectations rather than just meeting them. Parking was surprisingly manageable (if you’re brave enough to drive in Marrakech), and the sound levels were totally reasonable even though you’re still in the city. The check-in was smooth, though I’d recommend coordinating arrival times since it’s not a massive hotel with 24/7 front desk staff. The whole experience felt more personal because of it, actually – like staying with friends who happen to run a really well-organized guesthouse. If you’re the type who wants to experience Marrakech beyond the souk shopping and rooftop restaurant circuit, this is your spot.

  What an amazing luxury property this is, so clean and tidy with such a beautiful feel to it. I loved my stay that much we have booked again for September and I can’t wait to be back. Also the lady who’s apartment this is is so lovely and welcoming even she is not in Morocco herself she has somebody is looking after the property for her who is lovely and see is always available if you need anything. This property will always be my first choice when coming to visit family in Morocco and when I’m not there I will recommend this apartment to any of my friends and family.

  La disponibilité et la gentillesse des propriétaires et du gardien.
  Le quartier est calme et on a de commerces à proximité pour les courses du quotidien.
  L´appartement est propre, lumineux beau, grand et on a tout ça qu´on a besoin. Les lits et les canapés sont vraiment confortables. On se sent comme chez soi.

  Die Wohnung ist wirklich größter Luxus. Alles in sehr gutem Zustand und geschmackvoll. Eine der besten Unterkünfte, die wir je hatten. Die Betten, die Duschen, die Küche, die Aircondition, Super. Ruhige Lage und Parkplatz vor der Tür. Fußläufig zur Medina oder Taxi etwa 2,- Euro. Frühstücken in einem der vielen Cafés ab 2,- Euro incl. Kaffee. 4. Stock großes Treppenhaus kann man schaffen. Wir werden bei unserem nächsten Besuch diese Wohnung wieder nehmen.
