It’s tucked away in Douar Ouled Messaoud, maybe twenty minutes from the chaos of Marrakech’s medina, and that distance makes all the difference. The moment you pull up (and yes, there’s actually decent parking, which anyone who’s driven in Morocco will appreciate), you get this immediate sense of calm that’s pretty rare around here.

The whole place is just four suites, which initially made me wonder if I’d booked some kind of private residence by mistake. But that’s exactly what makes it work – it feels like staying at a friend’s incredibly well-designed home rather than a hotel. The owner clearly knows what they’re doing because every detail feels considered without being fussy. The traditional tadelakt walls have this gorgeous texture that catches the light just right, and honestly, the way they’ve mixed local craftsmanship with modern comfort is spot-on. I spent way too much time just running my hands along the smooth plaster work. The suites themselves are spacious enough that you’re not tripping over your luggage, and the beds are actually comfortable (you’d be surprised how often that’s not the case, even in nice places). What really got me was the morning light – these big windows face east, so you wake up with this soft, golden glow that makes everything look like a Instagram filter, except it’s real.

The location thing is interesting because it’s sort of perfect if you want to experience a different side of Morocco. You’re close enough to zip into Marrakech proper when you want the full sensory overload – the souks, the street food, all of that – but you can retreat to actual peace and quiet. The surrounding area is mostly local families and small farms, so you get these authentic glimpses of daily life without feeling like you’re intruding. I loved the early morning sounds: roosters, the call to prayer echoing across the palm groves, kids heading to school. It’s the Morocco that exists beyond the tourist trail, and staying here gives you access to that without sacrificing comfort. The staff (though there aren’t many) genuinely seem to care about making sure you’re sorted, and they know the area well enough to point you toward the good local spots. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward – no lengthy forms or upselling, just “here’s your key, let us know if you need anything.” Sometimes simple is exactly what you want.

  The villa is spectacular: architecture, amenities, location, and the peaceful surroundings are truly exceptional. A full five-star experience.
  
  What could be improved: Things to be aware of:
  
  The staff live permanently in the house, there is no separate staff area. Everyone is very helpful and friendly – but still this limits privacy.
  
  Guests need to organize and purchase groceries themselves for meal preparation. The nearest supermarket is about 30 minutes away by taxi. Even small items (e.g. barbecue lighters) need to be bought in advance.
  We paid 300 Dirham for the preparation of a dinner in site, the rest of the time we took care of our meals ourselves.
  
  The 10 km to Marrakech mean around 300 Dirhams per taxi ride (approx. 30€ each way), which adds up quickly with daily trips. It takes around 40 mins to get to the medina.
  Our driver was always punctual, reliable, and very friendly. Transfers and excursions were perfectly organized and highly recommended.
  
  There was a young dog on the property. While super sweet and playful, it is still poorly trained. The constant nipping became increasingly unpleasant for the children.
  
  Conclusion:
  A stunning property in a unique setting. Guests who take the above points into consideration will enjoy an exceptional stay.

  I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with our recent stay at La Villa Kela Serene 4 Suites. Unfortunately, our experience was far below our expectations due to several serious issues:
  1. Hygiene and Cleanliness:
  • The villa was infested with bugs, which made our stay extremely uncomfortable.
  • The bedsheets were already used and stained when we arrived, indicating that the property was not properly cleaned prior to our check-in.
  • Additionally, the overall smell of the place was unpleasant and unhygienic.
  2. Air Conditioning Issues:
  • The air conditioning unit turned off multiple times during our stay, especially during the night, which caused significant discomfort.
  3. Breakfast Mismanagement:
  • Breakfast was clearly stated as included in our booking. However, when we were checking out, we were asked to pay extra because eggs had been served—without our request or consent. This is unacceptable and misleading.
  4. Privacy Violations:
  • As an Emirati family, privacy is extremely important to us. We explicitly informed the property representative that no one should enter the villa during our stay. Despite this, unknown men were seen inside the property, which made us feel unsafe and disrespected.
  • We understand that a man named Khalid is responsible for maintaining the garden, but the individuals present were not him.
  5. Dogs on the Property:
  • We made it clear in advance that we did not want any dogs on the property. Not only were there dogs present, but they were also unleashed and roaming freely in the garden, making it even more uncomfortable for us and the children.
  
  This experience was highly disappointing and did not reflect the quality or standards promised at the time of booking. We kindly request a formal apology and appropriate compensation for the inconvenience and discomfort caused during our stay.

  Que dire de la Villa Kela serene … Une villa superbe décorée avec goût, une vue à couper le souffle dans un environnement exceptionnel mais plus que tout ça, ce qui rend cette villa exceptionnel ce sont ses propriétaires et son personnel. Ils sont le coeur de cette villa et proposent un service 5etoiles en toute décontraction. Ils sont présents sans jamais s imposer, ils trouvent toujours des solutions à tout et on des prestataires de qualités dans tout Marrakech.. et l un des maîtres des lieux est un chef hors pair qui saura ravir vos papilles. Nous sommes partis à 14 et avons vécu une expérience inoubliable. Un très grand merci à eux et à l année prochaine !!

  Absolument tout! Le cadre isolé de tout mais sure, le personnel aux petits soins. La décoration de la maison son aménagement tout y est, vraiment un séjour idéal pour une femme ou un groupe d’amis respectueux.
  Je recommande à 100%, on s’y repose réellement et l’accessibilité des activités à faire dans le désert est idéal je recommande celle au dessus de la monde qui longe la route de Abduluhab excellent guide des environs!
  La présence d’animaux aussi est rassurante et réconfortante.

  Nous avons réservé un week end dans cet villa et nous n’avons pas été déçus.
  La villa est juste magnifique. La température de l’eau était idéal. La décoration est très réussite ! Chambre spacieuse et très confortable. Installation wifi, petit déjeuner au top, climatisation et personnel disponible, bref notre séjour a été parfait ! Nous avons déjà hâte d’y retourner !
  
  Nous retiendrons surtout le super accueil qui nous a été réservée ! Nous tenons à le mentionner car pour avoir déjà séjourner dans plusieurs villa via booking ou Airbnb à Marrakech ce n’est pas toujours le cas!
  On se sent tout de suite mieux et on se sens comme chez soit.
