L’Atelier N°12, Loft, Terrasse Overview
Honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect from L’Atelier N°12 when I first booked it – the name alone had me intrigued, and the photos looked almost too good to be true. But walking into this place on Avenue Yacoub El Mansour, I mean, wow. It’s tucked away in a quieter part of Marrakech, maybe a 10-minute walk from the main Gueliz district, which actually works in your favor because you get that authentic residential vibe without the tourist chaos. The loft setup is genuinely stunning – high ceilings, exposed brick in some spots, and this industrial-chic thing going on that somehow feels perfectly at home in Morocco. The terrasse though, that’s the real star here. You’ve got this private rooftop space where you can actually see the Atlas Mountains on clear days, and trust me, those sunset views with a glass of wine are worth the trip alone.
What really got me was the attention to detail – like, someone clearly put thought into every corner of this place. The kitchen is fully equipped (I made breakfast there most mornings), the Wi-Fi actually works well enough for video calls, and the bed is one of those where you wake up and immediately check if you can extend your stay. The neighborhood itself is pretty fantastic too – there’s this little café about two blocks down that serves incredible msemen, and you’re close enough to Avenue Mohammed VI that getting a taxi anywhere is never an issue. I walked to the train station in about 20 minutes when I needed to catch the train to Casablanca. The only minor thing, and I’m being picky here, is that the shower pressure isn’t amazing – it’s fine, just not the power-wash some people prefer. But honestly, after wandering around the souks all day, you’re just happy to have a clean, stylish space to decompress.
You know what really sets this place apart though? It feels like staying at a friend’s incredibly cool apartment rather than a hotel. The check-in was smooth, the host was genuinely helpful with restaurant recommendations (go to Al Fassia if you take their advice), and the whole experience just felt… effortless. The 9.2 rating makes total sense – it’s one of those places where everything just works, and you find yourself taking photos to show people back home. If you’re looking for something with character in Marrakech, somewhere that’s stylish but not pretentious, this loft delivers. Just book the dates with the terrasse – sitting up there in the evening with the city spreading out below you, it’s the kind of moment that makes you remember why you travel in the first place.

Would come back! – Marija from Croatia – 17 April 2025 (9/10)
Beautiful and spacious apartment in an amazing location! The facilities were great, everything was clean and comfortable. I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely recommend it to others. A couple of small things to note: it would’ve been nice to have a few more towels available, and the sound isolation in the large room could be improved. Overall, a lovely place!

If you're looking where to book in Marrakech, just book this. It's close to the centre, great location right by Jardin Marjorelle, Huge space to relax in, Comfy beds, lovely kitchen and a balcony that stares at the Atlas mountains and faces the sunrise.
Bonus points for being across the road to a convenience store that's open all night. Late night cigarettes and soft drinks 💯
No concierge or security. Feels more like you're in your own home and you can really relax while on holiday.

The apartment is very spacious and modern, check in was easy and the staff were very responsive. It was perfect for our group of 4 friends, just what we needed.
What could be improved: It can get quite noisy because it’s on a very busy road. There isn’t any shower gel or shampoo.Wonderful. The location is great and near shopping mall. There is a grocery shop opposite the flat. There is also some r – Huang from United Kingdom – 8 June 2024 (10/10)
