You know what really surprised me about Le Jasmin? It’s tucked away on Rue Zellaqa in this quiet residential building that you’d honestly walk right past if you weren’t looking for it. I mean, Gueliz can be pretty hectic with all the cafes and shops, but once you’re inside this place, it’s like stepping into someone’s actual home – which, let’s be honest, is exactly what you want when you’re staying in an apartment-style setup.

The authenticity thing isn’t just marketing speak here. The owner clearly put thought into making this feel genuinely Moroccan without going overboard with the tourist-trap decor. There’s this lovely mix of traditional touches and modern comfort that actually works – proper lighting for reading (thank god), decent Wi-Fi, and a kitchen that’s actually functional if you want to grab some produce from the nearby Carrefour and cook something simple. The building itself is pretty typical for this part of Gueliz, which means it’s solid but not flashy. Parking can be a bit tricky on the street, but that’s just Marrakech for you. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night – the thick walls do their job, and you’re far enough from the main Boulevard Mohamed V that you won’t hear every scooter that goes by.

Location-wise, you’re in the sweet spot where you can walk to some excellent local spots that tourists don’t usually stumble onto. There’s this great little patisserie about three blocks away that does incredible chebakia, and you’re close enough to Avenue Mohamed VI that getting a petit taxi to the medina is never a problem. The neighborhood has that lived-in feel where you’ll see the same shopkeepers every day, kids playing soccer in the small park nearby, and locals doing their actual shopping rather than just tourist browsing. Honestly, after staying in a few riads in the medina that felt a bit performative, this was refreshingly normal. The 8.4 rating makes sense – it’s not trying to be something it’s not, but what it does, it does well. If you’re the type who wants to experience Marrakech like you’re temporarily living there rather than just visiting, this place gets it right.

  El apartamento está genial, muy cómodo, luminoso, bien decorado, la terraza muy bonita donde puedes relajarte un rato.
  El conserje de la residencia es muy amable, y siempre está atento por si necesitas algo. Una persiana no bajaba bien y vinieron a arreglarla ese mismo día.
  La piscina viene muy bien si quieres refrescarte orelajarte un rato.
  El barrio está muy bien, con muchos restaurantes y supermercados cerca.
  
  What could be improved: La unica pega que le pongo es que en nuestro apartamento el agua de la ducha no se regulaba bien, pasaba de fría a muy caliente.

  Appartement bien situé pour visiter Marrakech, plutôt calme même si on est en ville et qu'on entend les voisins. Ce n'est pas le calme plat. Le lit est plutôt confortable. La cuisine est pratique pour manger un peu dans l'appartement.
  
  What could be improved: La propreté pourrait être améliorée. Il manquait des équipements : torchon, papier toilette juste un à l'arrivée, manque de coin pour sécher les serviettes qui restaient humides.

  What could be improved: No hubo limpieza, ni utensilios ni productos de limpieza. La lavadora se le salía agua e inundaba el piso, nadie la regló, ni siquiera teníamos con que secar el agua, ninguna bolsa de basura, nunca nos cambiaron las toallas ni las sábanas. El piso estaba mal limpio cuando llegamos y varias cosas del baño rotas. Otras personas ya se han quejado de eso en internet pero sigue todo igual o peor.

  What could be improved: The bed was so hard, the towel rail came off the wall when you put a towel on, the taps all moved, towels thin and scratchy, toilet ran permanently, door lock spun when locked so just had to close it, tv had no channels as the subscription had expired.

  Apparemment incroyable, très bien localisé et en même temps quartier calme. C'était très confortable avec tout les équipements nécessaires, très belle décoration, propre et l'hôte était très gentil et serviable. Piscine très agréable pour se rafraîchir la journée. L'endroit était tellement accueillant que si nous revenions à Marrakech nous prendrions le même logement.

  Absolutely the perfect stay for my visit to Marrakesh! I’m so happy I found Le Jasmin. Everything was exactly as described – clean, comfortable, and well equipped. The property managers are so kind and helpful every day, and I felt totally at home the entire stay. What can I say about this place? It’s totally clean, comfortable bed, couches, and chairs, great WiFi, new appliances with every machine one could need (espresso maker, oven, microwave, clean dishes and silverware, and much more). Clean and luxurious bathroom, great air conditioning system, and massive terrace with beautiful views of the city and mountains in the distance. Oh, and the location is ideal, right next to some of my favorite restaurants and in walking distance to all the cultural landmarks of Marrakesh, including the Medina! I will absolutely booked Le Jasmin for my next trip. Thank you so much for an incredible stay.
