Le Palais Rhoul and Spa Overview
You know what struck me first about Le Palais Rhoul? It’s actually tucked away on the route to Fes – about five kilometers out from the madness of central Marrakech – and honestly, that distance makes all the difference. I mean, you’re still close enough to hit the souks and Jemaa el-Fnaa when you want that authentic chaos, but far enough out that you can actually hear yourself think. The property itself is this sprawling traditional riad-style complex that feels like someone’s incredibly wealthy Moroccan uncle decided to open his private estate to guests. The architecture is gorgeous – all those hand-carved details and traditional zellige tiles – but it doesn’t feel museum-like, if that makes sense. It’s lived-in elegant.
The spa is honestly where this place really shines, and I say that as someone who’s usually pretty skeptical about hotel spas. They’ve got this hammam that’s the real deal – not some watered-down tourist version – and the treatments actually use proper Moroccan techniques. The therapists know what they’re doing, and you can tell they’ve been doing it for years. The pools are scattered around the property in these intimate courtyards, so you’re not dealing with that resort-style crowd situation. Actually, the whole place has this quiet, almost meditative vibe that’s pretty rare for Morocco. Even during peak season (avoid March and April if you hate crowds, by the way), it never feels overwhelming.
What really sold me on the place was the attention to details that actually matter. The rooms are spacious – like, genuinely spacious, not “spacious for Europe” spacious – with proper air conditioning that doesn’t sound like a helicopter landing. The staff genuinely seems to enjoy working there, which you notice in little things like how they remember your coffee preference or the fact that turndown service doesn’t feel rushed. The restaurant serves solid Moroccan cuisine without the tourist markup you’d expect, and they’re surprisingly accommodating if you’ve got dietary restrictions. Parking is included and secure, which is honestly a blessing if you’re driving from Casablanca or exploring the Atlas Mountains. The only real downside is that you’ll need to grab a taxi or rent a car to get into the medina – it’s not walkable – but that’s also kind of the point. Sometimes you want to retreat from the intensity of Marrakech, and Le Palais Rhoul gets that balance right.

Reviews of Le Palais Rhoul and Spa
Beautiful but pricey – Peter from United Kingdom – 16 April 2025 (9/10)
The gardens are tranquil and beautiful are real oasis to sit out and relax. We stayed in room one which had its own private garden which was a real treat. You could have breakfast served in your room or on your terrace. The room was spacious and very carefully designed and decorated a real luxury treat. The shower was powerful. There was a bedtime turned down and curtains drawn for you in the evening. The indoor reception lounge, restaurant and bar area had a real collection of artefacts and artwork which were interesting and intriguing. The staff were very attentive and super polite. Food menu was limited, but what was on offer was well presented and tasty. Slightly pricey for what you got. Breakfast was well served beside the pool area. A wide variety of pastries and bread and eggs cooked to your preference. This hotel is an ideal romantic getaway for a couple of days. Hotel is happy to organise transportation into the city. I would imagine this would be a really fantastic location for a private function or wedding.
What could be improved: There was no menu of spa facilities available at reception or in the room, which would’ve been helpful. When we inquired about treatments and cost, we were shocked at the limited information given and the prices were extremely expensive.
The pool is in the middle of the main outdoor eating area and outside a number of the bedrooms. This is quite offputting and very few guests actually use the pool during our day. We only saw one person actually using the pool. The pool seems quite dirty at times, even though we did see ground’s men cleaning it twice. We didn’t use the pool because we felt conscious while people were eating and equally if we were eating, we wouldn’t want to see people swimming around the pool. The hotel has plenty of space in the garden that additional pool could be installed and allow more privacy for guests.A hidden gem – Anne from Norway – 11 April 2025 (9/10)
Beautiful property and area. Very quiet. And a breathtaking swimming pool.
What could be improved: The room could have been better equipped with amenities like coffee and tea. Additionally, the staff didn't seem very attentive or engaged during our stayAn unforgettable, luxurious, and deeply relaxing experience. – Maria from Spain – 17 March 2025 (10/10)
We were completely in love with the place. The setting was stunning, and the facilities were incredible. We celebrated our three-year anniversary in a beautiful cottage with a fireplace, which made the experience even more special. The constant care and service from the staff were outstanding, and the food was simply incredible. The hammam was the best I have ever done, and the massage was deeply relaxing. The combination of luxury and traditional Moroccan charm made our stay unforgettable.
What could be improved: There was honestly very little to dislike. If anything, I would say that leaving was the hardest part!Great! – Mourlas from United States – 9 March 2025 (10/10)

The breakfast was phenomenal. Everything from coffee, orange juice, fruits, fresh bread/ pastries, eggs, Moroccan pancakes and more.
Peaceful, amazing rooms, cool artwork/ statues across the ground, great staff and the best fresh fixed fruit juice I have ever had. You want a relaxing weekend with your spouse, this is the place to go. I would even bring my kids too, so relaxing and amazing pool.Exceptional – Michelle from United Kingdom – 11 May 2024 (10/10)
Attention to details is impeccable at this place. The staff are truly the best
Relax! – Carlo from Switzerland – 8 May 2024 (9/10)
Spacious room, excellent restaurant, kind staff. A peaceful and relaxing place!
What could be improved: Taxi is the only way to move from and to Marrakesh.Close to faultless hotel and service. Highly recommended. – Matthew from United Kingdom – 28 April 2024 (9/10)
Architecture, layout and gardens. Tranquil nature.
What could be improved: Loud music from some other guests during the day, combined with minor building work and day guests, culminated in a less than tranquil experience lounging in the gardens on some days. Drowning out the sound of the birds tweeting.
