You know what struck me first about Les Jardins de la palmeraie? The name actually delivers – this place really does feel like you’re staying in someone’s private garden estate, except with way better room service. It’s tucked away in this quieter part of Marrakech where you can actually hear yourself think, which honestly was a relief after the sensory overload of the medina. The whole property has this relaxed, almost residential vibe that’s pretty rare for a 4-star hotel. I mean, you’re still getting all the polished touches you’d expect, but there’s something genuinely peaceful about the way it’s laid out among actual palm trees and flowering gardens.

The location is sort of perfect if you ask me – far enough from the tourist chaos to feel like a proper retreat, but you can still grab a taxi to Jemaa el-Fnaa in about 15 minutes when you want to dive back into the madness. What I really appreciated was how the staff seemed to get this balance too. They’re not hovering or doing that overly formal hotel thing, but they clearly know their stuff about the city. The concierge (I think his name was Hamid?) gave me these incredibly specific directions to this little pottery workshop that I never would have found otherwise, and he was right about avoiding the main roads during prayer times – saved me from sitting in traffic for an hour.

The rooms themselves have this nice mix of traditional Moroccan touches without going overboard on the whole “exotic” theme that some places push too hard. Clean lines, good air conditioning (crucial in summer, trust me), and honestly some of the most comfortable beds I’ve encountered in Morocco. The bathroom situation is solid – proper water pressure and everything actually works, which… well, let’s just say that’s not always a given. I stayed during shoulder season in April and the place felt perfectly busy but not crowded, though I imagine it gets pretty full during the cooler months when everyone flocks to Marrakech. The pool area becomes this lovely social hub in the late afternoon when the light gets all golden and dreamy, and you’ll probably end up chatting with other travelers over mint tea. It’s that kind of place – the 8.7 rating makes total sense once you’re there for a day or two.

  L'accueil de Youssef était vraiment super il est très charmant très attentif à vos besoins. L'appartement est très spacieux et nous l'avons trouvé très propre à notre arrivée.

  Notre hôte était très sympathique et réactif.
  Il nous a mm mis un appartement à disposition le dernier jour pour déposer nos bagages car notre avion avait été retardé.
  Ca nous a permis de profiter de la piscine l'après midi. C'était vraiment adorable de sa part. D'une gentillesse…. Vraiment top
