You know what struck me first about Les Nuits de Miel? The name literally means “Honey Nights” in French, and honestly, it’s not just marketing fluff – there’s actually something sweet and intimate about this place that lives up to it. I found it tucked away in the Gueliz district, which is perfect if you want to be in Marrakech but not totally overwhelmed by the medina madness. The address says Rue Halab, but what they don’t tell you is that it’s in this modern residential building called Résidence Sourour – I mean, it sounds fancy, but it’s really just a nice apartment complex that’s been converted into boutique accommodations. The whole setup feels more like staying at a sophisticated friend’s place than a typical hotel, which I actually loved.

The location is pretty genius when you think about it. Gueliz is where actual Marrakchis live and work, so you get these great little cafés and shops that aren’t tourist traps, but you’re still only a 10-minute taxi ride from Jemaa el-Fnaa when you want that full sensory overload experience. I walked to Avenue Mohammed V multiple times – it’s maybe 5 minutes away – and that’s where you’ll find proper restaurants, banks, and even a Carrefour if you need to grab anything. The 8.2 rating makes sense to me because while it’s not luxury-luxury, it hits that sweet spot of being well-run and comfortable without trying too hard. Check-in was smooth (they actually remembered my name, which doesn’t always happen), and the staff seemed to genuinely know the city rather than just reciting tourist information.

What really won me over was the attention to detail – like, the rooms have this modern Moroccan aesthetic that doesn’t feel forced or theme-park-ish. The beds are actually comfortable (I’m picky about this), and the bathrooms are properly designed, not just pretty to look at. There’s decent soundproofing too, which matters because even though Gueliz is quieter than the old city, Marrakech is still… well, it’s Marrakech. The air conditioning works properly – trust me, you’ll appreciate this if you visit between May and September. I also noticed they keep the common areas really clean, and there’s reliable wifi throughout, which honestly can be hit or miss even in 4-star places here. The whole vibe is relaxed but professional, like they know what they’re doing without being stuffy about it. If you want to experience Marrakech but come home to a calm, well-appointed space where you can actually sleep and recharge, this place gets it right.

  + Appartement très spacieux avec 2 énormes terrasses très bien aménagées dont une avec piscine hors sol pratique pour les enfants.
  + 3 chambres et séjour confortables et décorés avec goût
  + Très bon petit déjeuner avec Msemen
  + Proximité de toutes les distractions et promenades à pieds
  – Quelques bruits périodiques des constructions dans le quartier car l’immeuble est en plein centre-ville mais on était dehors pendant la journée.

  What could be improved: Deze accommodatie is absoluut ongeschikt voor gezinnen, laat staan voor jonge kinderen. Wat een vakantie had moeten zijn, eindigde voor ons in stress en gevaar. De foto’s en omschrijving zijn misleidend: het “inclusieve ontbijt” bleek te bestaan uit een beschimmelde doos eieren en rot fruit. Pas na mijn klacht zou de host alsnog boodschappen regelen – alsof het normaal is dat je daar eerst zelf om moet vragen.
  
  Het ergste: de deuren naar beide terrassen konden niet op slot. Met drie jonge kinderen, waaronder een peuter van 2, is dat levensgevaarlijk. Rondom het terras was een bouwplaats met een hijskraan die zware betonnen blokken over het dak verplaatste. Bovendien lag er een zwembad vol viezigheid en kikkervisjes, waar mijn kinderen zó in hadden kunnen vallen. Dit is geen veilige accommodatie, dit is onverantwoord.
  
  Daar bovenop kwamen de gebrekkige hygiëne, muffe badkamers, incomplete keuken en gevaarlijke rommel op het terras. En alsof dat nog niet genoeg was, hebben we de hele nacht geen oog dichtgedaan door keiharde muziek, geschreeuw en herrie van de bovenburen. De host gaf zelf toe dat dit een bekend probleem is, waarom verhuur je dan zoiets.
  
  Let op: de host zal waarschijnlijk onder deze review reageren met leugens en verdraaiingen, zoals hij eerder bij mij deed. Trap er niet in. Ik heb bewijs, inclusief video van de niet-sluitende deuren, en foto's van de erbarmelijke staat van het zwembad.
  
  Wij zijn na één nacht vertrokken, ik verblijf nog liever op straat. Als Booking.com deze plek blijft aanbieden, zegt dat meer over hen dan over de reiziger.
  
  Boek dit NIET. Je veiligheid en gezondheid zijn het niet waard.

  What could be improved: Nous n’avons pas pu utiliser la piscine à cause de la poussière des travaux mais cela ne devrait pas durer…..

  The property is located in very nice area close to Marrakech Medina 15 mins walk – the neighbourhood is great.
  Property itself is nice and very clean.
  
  Mr Hakim is a great host available 24/7, he provided us with lots of food for breakfast (very generous).
  
  The apartment itself has plenty of things for activities / my daughter kept herself occupied with piano.
  
  The apartment is ideal for families spending good time together.
  
  What could be improved: There is a building work going on to the next building resulting in dust rubbles coming through terrace of this apartment – practically you can’t use that side of the terrace and swimming pool is fitted in this area.
  Mr Hakim is very kind and send technician to get the pool clean and refilled for us but in few hours all the sand was throwing in the pool. We had to say tough luck next time.
  Other than this – everything was wonderful.

  Appartement très bien situé, La place de parking est un plus. Hôte disponible, a toujours répondu à nos messages.
  Il y a dans le frigo le petit déjeuner pour le séjour.
  
  What could be improved: Deux immeuble sont en construction à côté, et à partir de 7 h du matin il y a du bruit. ce qui ne nous a pas dérangé car nous nous levons tôt. Dommage que les terrasses soient en désordre et que la piscine était vide et sale.

  Superbe appartement en plein Gueliz, rénové avec goût et bien équipé.
  Le parking est un plus indéniable et surtout indispensable.
  Hakim et Meryem sont adorables, très chaleureux et à l'écoute. Un grand merci à eux deux.

  Appartement trop bien meublé aussi bien à l’intérieur que sur les terrasses avec des pergolas en bambou et en bois des transats en bois une piscine hors sol un barbecue des parasols et surtout des lumières décoratives d’une beauté, le tout pour un repos et une détente uniques en plein centre-ville de Marrakech. Nous aurions voulu y rester plus longtemps mais c’est à refaire.
