Les Palmiers Boutique Hôtel & Spa Overview
You know what? I wasn’t expecting much when I first pulled up to Les Palmiers – honestly, the whole Dar Tounsi Ennakhil area can feel a bit sprawling and uncertain when you’re navigating it for the first time. But once you actually step through their entrance, it’s like someone hit a reset button on your entire Marrakech experience. The place has this incredibly calm, almost zen-like quality that’s pretty rare in a city where the medina never really sleeps. I mean, you’re still close enough to hear the evening call to prayer drifting over from the nearby neighborhoods, but there’s this buffer of palm trees and thoughtfully designed spaces that just… works.
The spa part isn’t just marketing fluff either – they’ve got this hammam that actually feels authentic, not like the tourist-trap versions you’ll find closer to Jemaa el-Fnaa. The staff here seem to genuinely know what they’re doing, and I appreciated that they didn’t oversell treatments or hover around expecting tips every five minutes. What really got me though was how they’ve managed the whole boutique hotel thing without making it feel precious or overly curated. The rooms have character – I stayed in one with these beautiful tiled floors that stayed cool even during the afternoon heat, and the bathroom had one of those deep soaking tubs that you don’t realize you need until you’re sinking into it after a long day of haggling in the souks.
Practically speaking, this place just makes sense for anyone who wants to experience Marrakech without the constant sensory overload. You can walk to some really excellent local restaurants (there’s this tiny place about ten minutes away that does the best tagine I had during my entire trip), but you’re not dealing with the motorcycle traffic and tourist chaos that comes with staying right in the heart of things. The pool area becomes this perfect refuge during those brutal afternoon hours when even the locals are taking shelter, and honestly, the 8.7 rating feels about right – it’s not perfect, but the things they do well, they do really well. Check-in was smooth, parking wasn’t a nightmare like it can be at some of the riads, and the whole experience felt like staying with people who actually understand hospitality rather than just going through the motions.

Reviews of Les Palmiers Boutique Hôtel & Spa
Peaceful Getaway at Les Palmiers Boutique Hotel & Spa – Shanice from Netherlands – 27 May 2025 (10/10)
This beautiful hotel is located just outside the busy center of Marrakech, making it a perfect retreat for those seeking peace and quiet. The property is spotless and very well maintained, which made our stay even more enjoyable.
A special thanks to Bouchra & Karima, who took such great care of us throughout our visit. The entire staff was incredibly kind and attentive, and we truly felt welcomed from the moment we arrived.
If you’re looking to unwind in a quiet, stylish setting just beyond the city, this is an excellent choice! Was perfection, absolute relaxing time away. – Samantha from United Kingdom – 26 May 2025 (10/10)
The decor, the food & the service and staff
What could be improved: Only thing is could become pricey travelling back and forward to medina approx £50 returnIncredible hotel let down a little by the level of service. – Nikki from United Kingdom – 5 May 2025 (8/10)
The property is stunning and facilities fab. The rooms and communal areas were very clean and well maintained.
What could be improved: With the exception of our host on reception at check in. We found the staff to be pretty unwelcoming. Service at the pool as a resident was fairly poor and we had to go to the bar area to get attention and drinks/menus. Feel the service offered to local paying day guests was very different.
The door in our room had completely come out of the frame and was dangerously unsafe. It was fixed immediately on notifying staff however.Superb – G from United Kingdom – 24 April 2025 (9/10)
From the moment we walked in we loved the place ,the staff very nice ,we arrived early and of course our room was not ready ,they asked if we wanted to have some food but we said we needed to shower first ,the guy said you can shower in our spa ,I was very happy .had a shower and changed and the holiday began
We loved our stay and will definitely be coming back! – Cecilie from Norway – 20 April 2025 (10/10)
This place is such a gem – a beautiful and delicate boutique hotel. It has this calm, peaceful vibe that instantly makes you relax. Everywhere you look, there’s stunning architecture and interior design.
The pool and lounge area is super elegant and spacious, and with only 11 rooms/suites, it never feels crowded – even when it’s fully booked.
The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. We felt really well taken care of, especially by the amazing Mohammed and Karima at the front desk – they honestly couldn’t do enough for us! Whether it was transport or anything else we needed, they sorted it out in no time.
We absolutely loved our stay at Les Palmiers and will 100% be coming back!Great vibe. The photo’s on the site don’t do the hotel justice to be honest. – Margaret from France – 13 April 2025 (9/10)
Very nice relaxing stay in beautyful surroundings.
Exceptional – Charlie from United Kingdom – 13 April 2025 (10/10)
Amazing vibe with no detail spared.
What could be improved: Some functional issues, it is Morocco. Water cut out and drains smelled sometimes, also aircon broke. No fault of the hotel’s really and they were quick to fix it. Bit of a graft trying to get some compensation Classic Moroccan style but we got there in the end. Still 5 stars from us. Just aboutExceptional – Melanie from United Kingdom – 5 April 2025 (10/10)
Absolutely Stunning! A beautiful resort and restaurant
What could be improved: The fitness centre does not match the resort & needs upgrading in terms of decor & equipment.Perfect place to come to rest after a hectic stay in the Medina – Thomas from Belgium – 7 March 2025 (9/10)
It has everything that you want for a weekend break
Beautiful place with great serving staff and wonderful food let down by lack of attention detail. – Wendy from United Kingdom – 5 March 2025 (8/10)
The public spaces were beautiful- really stylish and with lush greenery everywhere. The pool area was particularly special. The waitresses and waiters were exceptionally helpful and friendly making us feel really welcome. All this during Ramadan when they must have been very hungry/ thirsty made it all the more appreciated. Food was delicious.
What could be improved: The attention to detail that they claim on their website was lacking: no tea and had to request three times for replacement coffee pods. Damaged plaster and mould in bathroom. Freezing temperature in dining room and our room on arrival. Being left to wait one hour for return transport from the medina and our calls to reception (asking what was happening) not answered during that time. We were eventually told to just flag down a taxi. Exorbitant prices for drinks : one bottle of Moroccan beer 110 MAD which they get away with because there’s no other place to easily go.
