You know what struck me first about LINA APPARTEMENT? It’s tucked away in this residential area that actually feels like real Marrakech – not the tourist bubble most hotels exist in. Boulevard Mouzdalifa isn’t exactly a name you’ll find in guidebooks, but honestly, that’s part of what makes this place work. You’re staying where locals live, which means you’ll hear kids playing soccer in the courtyard and smell tagines cooking from neighboring windows.

The building itself is pretty typical for this part of the city – one of those mid-rise apartment blocks that dot the newer neighborhoods around Marrakech. I mean, don’t expect riad-style courtyards or traditional zellige tiles here. What you get instead is something more practical and, honestly, more spacious than most places in the medina. The apartments are proper size – I’m talking actual room to spread out your stuff, which is refreshing after cramming into some of those “charming” but tiny traditional places. The 8.4 rating makes sense when you consider you’re getting real value for money, plus the kind of quiet nights that are impossible to find in Jemaa el-Fnaa area.

Getting around from here is actually pretty straightforward once you figure out the local transit rhythm. You’re close enough to catch taxis or buses into the historic center, but far enough out that you escape the constant hustle of tourist touts. The neighborhood has that lived-in feel – there’s a local market nearby where you can grab fresh bread and olives, and the evening call to prayer echoes beautifully between the buildings. What I really appreciated was how the host (assuming it’s family-run like most of these apartment-style places) seemed to genuinely care about making sure guests understood the area. They’ll probably give you better directions than Google Maps, which can be… well, let’s just say it gets confused in Marrakech’s newer developments. The four-star rating feels about right – you’re not getting luxury resort amenities, but you’re getting clean, comfortable space with personality. Plus, parking is way less of a headache than anywhere closer to the medina, which anyone who’s driven in Marrakech will tell you is worth its weight in gold.

The Booking.com taxi driver couldn't find the Appartments as the name didn't feature on any part of the building, all very confusing was left walking the streets late at night by myself. Luckily managed to sort it out myself!

  What could be improved: Mauvaises informations sur Booking (pas le bon numéro de téléphone, pas la bonne adresse, noté que la piscine n'était pas disponible alors qu'elle l'était) nous avons donc eu beaucoup de problèmes pour contacter M. Driss qui était désolé pour nous. Un monsieur très gentil et disponible.

  The appartment is very comfortable for 4. Big common room with sofas for spending time together. Big dinner table. Fully equiped kitchen

  Swimming pool in the complex is a proper full-size pool. We have not really used it, as it was too cold outside, but when the temperature goes above 25 it must be very nice
  Neighbourhood with good Carrefour and local shops (bakery!)
  It is a bit away from the city, but just 4 bus stops to Medina (any bus goes), so no problem
  
  What could be improved: The transfers offered by the owner are on the pricey side
  Pillows too high and too hard, but that's a common problem in rented appartments

  Sahid was very helpful. We were delayed by about two hours only arriving about 11 pm he was very reassuring. Even took us to the mini market to get essentials. Would stay here again
