Longue vie Hotels Overview

So I stumbled across Longue vie Hotels on that corner where Avenue Hassan II meets Rue Zobair in Hivernage, and honestly? It’s one of those places that just gets it right. You know how some hotels feel like they’re trying too hard to impress you the second you walk in? This isn’t that. The lobby has this understated elegance thing going on – not flashy, but you can tell someone actually thought about the details.

The location is actually pretty brilliant if you know Marrakech at all. Hivernage is where you want to be if you’re looking for that sweet spot between the chaos of the medina and the sterile hotel zones. You’re literally a five-minute walk from the Majorelle Garden (though honestly, go early morning or you’ll be fighting crowds), and the Menara Mall is right there if you need to grab anything practical. What I really loved though is how quiet it gets at night – I mean, you’re still in the city, but the thick walls and the way the building sits back from the main drag means you’re not dealing with scooters revving at 2 AM.

The 4-star rating feels about right, maybe even conservative. My room had this really nice mix of traditional Moroccan touches without going full theme park about it. The bathroom was bigger than I expected, and the shower pressure – well, let’s just say it’s not one of those “hope for the best” situations you sometimes get in Morocco. The staff genuinely seemed to care about what they were doing, which sounds like a small thing but makes such a difference when you’re dealing with travel hiccups or just need restaurant recommendations that aren’t tourist traps. They pointed me toward this incredible tagine place about ten minutes away that I never would have found on my own.

One thing that surprised me was how the pool area actually worked. It’s not huge, but it’s positioned so you get sun most of the day without feeling like you’re on display to every passing guest. The loungers are decent quality too – none of those flimsy plastic things that leave weird marks on your back. I spent a good chunk of one afternoon there with a book, and it felt genuinely relaxing rather than just… adequate.

The breakfast spread was solid – not just pastries and instant coffee, but actual local options mixed with international stuff. Fresh orange juice (and I mean actually fresh, not the concentrated stuff), decent coffee, and they had this honey that I’m pretty sure was local. Small touches, but they add up.

Look, a 9.1 rating sounds almost too good to be true, but after staying there I get it. It’s not perfect – the WiFi was a bit spotty in the evenings when everyone was online, and the elevator is one of those old-school slow ones that makes you wonder if you should’ve taken the stairs. But the overall experience just works. You feel like you’re staying somewhere that cares about hospitality rather than just processing tourists. If you’re planning a Marrakech trip and want something that feels authentic without sacrificing comfort, this place should definitely be on your list.

Staff and vibe were amazing. I'm so glad I booked this hotel and not another I was looking at. I was scared the pool area was going be too small but it isn't. The vibes were high. It feels like a beach club. The staff are amazing and do everything for you and the decor is pristine. Really cute design, book this without any doubt.
