When I first pulled up – well, when my taxi dropped me off because honestly, the streets in Gueliz can be a maze – I wasn’t expecting much from the outside. But you know what? Sometimes the best places are the ones that don’t need to show off.

The moment you step inside, it’s like someone took all the chaos of Marrakech and filtered it through this perfectly calm lens. The three-bedroom setup is actually brilliant if you’re traveling with friends or family, because you get that apartment feel without sacrificing hotel service. I mean, the kitchen was fully stocked, which saved me from eating out every single meal (your wallet will thank you, trust me). What really got me was the attention to detail – fresh mint in the fridge, local pottery that wasn’t just decorative nonsense, and these gorgeous rugs that I’m pretty sure were actual Berber work, not tourist knockoffs. The Wi-Fi was solid too, which matters more than people admit when you’re trying to upload all those medina photos.

Being in Gueliz means you’re in the modern part of town, but here’s the thing – you’re still close enough to walk to the medina when you want that authentic experience, but far enough away that you can actually sleep at night. Rue Hassania is pretty quiet compared to the main drags, though you’ll still hear the call to prayer from nearby mosques (which I actually found soothing after a day or two). The area has this nice mix of locals and visitors, so you’ll find proper coffee shops and grocery stores within a few blocks, not just tourist traps. I grabbed fresh bread and olives from a place just around the corner most mornings – felt like I was actually living there for a bit. The staff clearly knows the neighborhood well too; they pointed me toward this incredible little restaurant that I never would have found on my own, tucked away on a side street where the tagine was half the price and twice as good as anything near Jemaa el-Fnaa. Honestly, at a 9.5 rating, this place has earned every point – it’s one of those rare spots that manages to feel both authentically Moroccan and genuinely comfortable for travelers who want more than just a bed for the night.

  What could be improved: Πετσέτες όχι πολύ λευκές . Δεν υπήρχαν αρκετά καλλυντικά στο μπάνιο όπως σαμπουάν και κρέμα σώματος . Θα θέλαμε να έχουμε δύο κλειδιά για το σπίτι
