You’ll appreciate that last bit if you’re visiting between May and September, trust me. The whole setup screams luxury apartment rather than hotel room, which makes sense since that’s exactly what it is.

But here’s the thing about the location that most people don’t realize until they’re there – Avenue Abdelkrim Al Khatabi puts you right in the sweet spot of Gueliz. You’re literally walking distance from some of the best restaurants in the city (seriously, try the place two blocks down for tagine), but you’re also close enough to grab a petit taxi to Jemaa el-Fnaa without breaking the bank. The neighborhood has this great energy during the day – locals going about their business, proper cafés where you can sit and people-watch, decent shops that aren’t just tourist traps. Evenings are quieter, which I actually loved after spending days in the chaos of the old city.

Parking was surprisingly easy, which – if you’ve ever driven in Marrakech – you’ll know is basically a miracle. The building itself feels secure and well-maintained, and the whole check-in process was smooth, none of that awkward fumbling around with keys that sometimes happens with apartment rentals. One small thing though – the elevator can be a bit slow, but honestly, that’s being picky. The place consistently gets stellar reviews (we’re talking 9 out of 10 territory) and after staying there, I get why. It’s that rare combination of location, comfort, and value that makes you think “okay, this is how I want to do Marrakech.” Whether you’re here for business or pleasure, sometimes you just want a beautiful space to come home to that doesn’t require navigating narrow alleyways in the dark.
