Look, I’ll be straight with you about this place – the Luxury apart à Gueliz threw me off at first because, honestly, using Pizza Hut as a landmark in the address seems pretty casual for a 4-star spot. But you know what? That’s actually brilliant because everyone knows where that Pizza Hut is on Avenue Victor Hugo, and it makes finding this apartment hotel ridiculously easy.

The location is what really makes this place work. I mean, you’re right in the heart of Gueliz, which is Marrakech’s modern district – think of it as the complete opposite of the medina’s beautiful chaos. You’ve got actual sidewalks here, decent coffee shops, and you can walk to places without getting wonderfully lost every five minutes. The apartment setup is perfect if you’re planning to stay more than a couple nights or if you’re traveling with family. There’s something refreshing about having a proper kitchen and living space after bouncing between traditional riads and standard hotel rooms. The building itself has that mid-century Moroccan architecture that Gueliz is known for, and while it’s not going to win any design awards, it’s clean, functional, and honestly pretty comfortable.

What I appreciated most was how quiet it gets at night – the area doesn’t have the constant hum of scooters and late-night street vendors that you get closer to Jemaa el-Fnaa. The staff actually knows the neighborhood well, which sounds basic but you’d be surprised how many places can’t give you decent directions to anything beyond the tourist spots. They pointed me toward this little grocery store about two blocks away that had everything I needed, plus a pharmacy that stays open late. The 8.3 rating feels about right – it’s not going to blow you away with luxury touches, but it delivers exactly what it promises. My only real gripe was that the WiFi got spotty during peak hours, though that might just be a Marrakech thing. If you’re looking for something more authentic than the big chain hotels but don’t want to deal with the intensity of staying in the medina, this hits that sweet spot perfectly.

  Host was lovely and very communicative. Apartment was brilliant! Great location. Very comfortable. Quiet area too. Clean throughout. Easy check in. Decent shower. With shutters down made it dark which was handy to go to sleep.
  
  What could be improved: More recommendations rather than not like.
  Would recommend to leave hand wash, there were 2 used bottles shampoo with very little bit in to use as hand wash. Recommend leave more toilet roll rather than just one roll too. These are minor gripes didn't affect the stay at all.

  Host is very friendly and helpful. Even without asking he gave us excellent recommendations so we could enjoy a bit of the local buzzing life which being just away from the touristy centre offered the experience we were after and can honestly recommend. Especially the little market Hakim recommended to us. Try the freshly cooked food there, soo good.
  
  Also, a helpful note – those online advice of staying away from the street food? Forget it and just enjoy! So far we mostly ate in local street food places, they are having very good food hygiene and you won't get tastier, more authentic experience.

  What could be improved: The apartment is great in almost all aspects, safe, quiet, spacious with comfy bed, just the bathroom could benefit of some maintenance, but honestly, at this price a great find!
