The security situation is legit too – there’s always someone at the front desk, and you need a card to get into the building. I felt completely comfortable walking back alone after dinner, which isn’t something I can say about every part of Marrakech. The parking thing might seem minor until you realize how much of a headache it can be to find a safe spot for your rental car in this city. Having a dedicated space just removes that whole layer of stress.

Air conditioning that actually works, a decent kitchen if you want to grab groceries from the Carrefour nearby, and – this matters more than you’d think – really good water pressure in the shower. The décor strikes that balance between local character and international comfort that’s surprisingly hard to find. You’ll see traditional touches without feeling like you’re sleeping in a museum.

The staff deserves a mention too – they’re the kind of helpful that feels genuine rather than scripted. When I had questions about getting to the airport early in the morning, they sorted out a taxi without making it feel like a huge favor. Little things like that add up. I should mention that if you’re someone who needs to be right in the thick of tourist central, this might feel a bit removed – but personally, I loved having that buffer zone where I could actually think clearly and plan my next move without constant sensory overload.
