What I really appreciated was the attention to details that matter – proper blackout curtains (trust me, Marrakech mornings are bright), solid WiFi throughout, and air conditioning that actually works when you need it most. The bathroom setup is modern without feeling sterile, which is this sweet spot that’s harder to achieve than you’d think.

Location-wise, this is where things get really interesting. You’re essentially positioned between two worlds – close enough to the medina that you can easily taxi over for your souk adventures, but firmly planted in Gueliz where you’ve got proper sidewalks, decent coffee shops, and that slightly more European vibe that sometimes you just need after a long day of navigating the old city. The train station is genuinely walkable from here, which saved me a fortune on airport transfers, and there’s this little cluster of restaurants within a few blocks that locals actually frequent. I found myself grabbing pastries from this unassuming bakery just down the street most mornings – the kind of place you’d never find if you were staying in the tourist bubble. Parking was surprisingly straightforward too, which anyone who’s driven in Marrakech will tell you is no small thing. The building itself feels secure and well-maintained, and the other residents seem to be a mix of long-term visitors and locals, which gives it this authentic residential feel rather than that hotel-like atmosphere where everyone’s just passing through.
