Look, I’ll be honest – when I first saw “Luxury Modern Apartment” in the listing, I was expecting one of those sterile, cookie-cutter places you find everywhere. But this spot on Route de Safi actually surprised me. The location is what locals call the “new Marrakech” – you’re still close enough to hear the call to prayer from Kutubiyya (which, honestly, becomes oddly comforting after a few days), but you’re not dealing with the chaos of the medina right outside your door. The building itself has this clean, contemporary vibe that feels refreshing after spending days wandering through the souks. What really got me was the attention to detail – the apartment has these floor-to-ceiling windows that flood the space with that incredible Moroccan light, and the AC actually works properly, which… well, if you’ve stayed in Morocco before, you know that’s not always a given.

The kitchen is probably the best feature, honestly. It’s fully equipped with quality appliances, which means you can actually cook if you want to take a break from tagines (though why would you?). I ended up making coffee there every morning because the local café down the street doesn’t open until 8, and I’m one of those people who needs caffeine immediately upon waking. The bedroom is spacious with a comfortable bed – I mean, really comfortable, not that “comfortable” you often get in vacation rentals where you’re counting down the nights until you can sleep in your own bed again. There’s also decent storage space, which matters when you’re staying more than a few days and living out of a suitcase gets old.

What you should know about the area – Route de Safi puts you about a 15-minute taxi ride from Jemaa el-Fnaa, but there’s plenty happening locally too. There’s a good hammam about a 5-minute walk away that doesn’t cater to tourists, so you’ll actually pay local prices. The neighborhood has this relaxed, residential feel during the day, but it can get a bit lively on weekends – nothing crazy, just people enjoying themselves at the nearby restaurants. Parking is straightforward if you’re renting a car, which is rare for Marrakech. The building has reliable wifi and hot water pressure that’s actually decent – these things matter when you’re trying to work remotely or just want a proper shower after a day of exploring. The 9.2 rating makes sense; it’s one of those places that delivers on what it promises without any unpleasant surprises. You know what I mean – sometimes the best compliment you can give a place is that everything just works the way it should.

  The apartment was just like the photos. Very clean, big and beautiful. I have no complaints at all about the inside of the apartment. And the bed was extremely comfortable. The owner was very kind and helpful with everything and always quick to answer. We were Very pleased.
  
  What could be improved: The pool area is not for everyone… it’s very over crowded, & no sun stools. And it’s not a place for tourists. As a female you will not be comfortable wearing bathing suits there. So I highly recommend this apartment if you don’t plan to use the pool area. Because the only bad thing was that era. And a lot of disrespectful men unfortunately in the complex…

  The appartment was very clean and spacious. The rooms were big and the beds comfortable. Would reccomend.
  
  What could be improved: The appartment is build in a local neigbourhood which means that you would have to take a taxi to get into the city and also, we did not have warm water for three days. Our contact Asma who is the sweetest girl I know solved the problem for us by letting it checked by someone.
