Boulevard du Moyen Orient sounds fancy, but it’s really just this tree-lined street where locals do their evening walks – I loved sitting on the little terrace in the evenings watching families stroll by. The apartment itself feels more like staying at a friend’s place than a hotel, with that lived-in comfort that’s hard to fake. The garden access (hence the “jardin” in the name) is the real winner here – there’s something about having your own little patch of green space where you can actually hear birds instead of scooters honking.

What really sold me on this spot was how the owner clearly knows what travelers actually need. There’s proper WiFi that doesn’t cut out every ten minutes, a kitchen that’s actually stocked with decent cookware, and – this might sound small but trust me – really good water pressure in the shower. The decor walks that fine line between traditional Moroccan touches and modern comfort without feeling like a theme park. I stayed here during Ramadan and appreciated how respectful the whole setup was, while still being welcoming to non-Muslim guests. The only minor thing I’d mention is that if you’re expecting hotel-style daily housekeeping, this is more of a self-service situation – but honestly, that independence was exactly what I wanted after a few days of being constantly attended to at other places in the city.
