Maison H Kasbah Overview

Look, I’ve stayed at plenty of riads in Marrakech, but Maison H Kasbah actually surprised me – and honestly, that’s saying something because I’m usually pretty skeptical about these boutique places. The thing is, it’s tucked away on Derb Rahala Road right in the heart of the Kasbah district, which means you’re literally a five-minute walk from the Saadian Tombs and maybe ten from Bahia Palace. I mean, you can’t get much more authentic than sleeping where the old royal quarter used to be.

What really got me was how they’ve managed to keep that traditional riad feel without making you feel like you’re staying in a museum. The central courtyard has this gorgeous fountain that’s actually soothing at night (not one of those annoying splashing ones), and the staff – well, they know their stuff. Ahmed at the front desk helped me navigate the maze of streets to find this tiny carpet shop his cousin runs, which I never would’ve discovered otherwise. The rooms themselves are spacious by Marrakech standards, and thank god the air conditioning actually works because let me tell you, those summer nights can be brutal even with the traditional thick walls keeping things cool during the day.

Here’s what I wish someone had told me before I went: the breakfast is served on the rooftop terrace, and if you get up early enough – I’m talking 7 AM – you get this incredible view of the Atlas Mountains before the city haze rolls in. Also, parking is tricky in the Kasbah (shocking, I know), but they have an arrangement with a lot about a ten-minute walk away, and they’ll actually escort you there with your bags. The neighborhood gets pretty quiet after 9 PM, which is perfect if you want to escape the chaos of Jemaa el-Fnaa but still be close enough to pop over when you want that energy. One small thing though – the WiFi can be spotty in some rooms, so if you’re planning to work remotely, mention it when you book and they’ll put you in one of the better-connected ones. Overall, it’s one of those places where you can tell the owners actually care about the experience, not just filling beds. The 8.8 rating makes total sense when you factor in the location, the genuine hospitality, and the fact that you’re getting real Marrakech character without the tourist trap nonsense.

  All of the staff are super friendly and very helpful. Asma was always there for us if we had questions and made our stay even more comfortable and relaxed.
  The breakfast was so delicious and varied every day a little bit. We enjoyed having it on the beautiful terrasse.
  It is also a perfect location if you like to be in the Kasbah and visit the Medina or the nearby tombs.

  I’ve stayed here with my mother and father. The property location was great as everything you need is within walking distance from small grocery stores to restaurants. The only downside of the location was the parking but it was solved by a parking area within 3 to 5 min walking distance from the Riad. Also, the staff all of them were very helpful and nice and welcoming. They even do a restaurant booking using their personal mobile phone without hesitating. They offer a support or help whenever you need it. We felt at home during our stay from the staff. They are the definition of hospitality.
  
  What could be improved: There is no refrigerator in the room, it was solved by the staff but they could get rid of some furniture from the room and replace it with small refrigerator. In General all issues were solved by the staff. Great staff

  This was our first time in Marrakech, and we were not disappointed with the Riad. It's in a perfect location, close to many attractions. The Riad is so clean and modern. It smells so beautiful the minute you enter. The room was a great size with lovely decor. We were treated so well throughout our whole stay by all of the lovely people who work there. I'd like to especially mention "Doha" who was so warm and welcoming from the minute she came to collect us from our taxi. We couldn't have asked for a better person to be looking after us during our stay. She made our time in Morroco even more wonderful 😊. We would highly recommend this Riad to anyone thinking of coming here! P.S. the mocktails were also amazing!

  The riad was amazing! The room got cleaned every day! The staff was at the reception available day and night and was very very kind and helpful. The location is great, 15 minute walk to the main square and the street in itself was lively and fun to walk around. The breakfast is different every day and the rooftop is beautiful. We were leaving very early in the morning and the staff offered us to give us breakfast the night before so we could eat before we leave. That was very kind! I highly recommend anyone to stay here! Thank you so much.
  
  What could be improved: The only thing was that our room smelled a bit. I assume this was because of the humidity from the shower but it wasn’t too bad. It didn’t negatively affect our stay.

  The staff were friendly and so helpful they really went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The location was perfect, very close to everything, and everywhere was walkable. The breakfast was lovely. One downside was that the WiFi wasn’t great, and the shower was difficult as it kept changing temperature.

  The property is beautifully decorated and situated in the ideal location! The staff went above and beyond to decorate the room wonderfully for my boyfriend's birthday, which was a delightful surprise. They even accommodated our vegan dietary needs. Doha was great from start to finish, she was super helpful, which enabled us to have a fantastic stay. We are absolutely thrilled with our stay. A huge thank you to all the staff who took care of us and made our stay truly unforgettable!

  We had an amazing stay at this Riad, great location just inside the medina, easy to access and within walking distance of most of the tourist attractions.
  
  The riad organised a free airport pickup for us which gave us a very smooth check in, and once we arrived the facilities were lovely and clean, the room was a good size and a free breakfast was included every morning. There is 24/7 staff available all night and it was the staff who really made our stay great.
  
  It was my girlfriend’s birthday during our stay and the staff went above and beyond to give her a brilliant birthday, decorating our room with balloons and candles & even giving her flowers!
  
  We specifically would like to thank Doha who went out of her way to co-ordinate all of this, and would also like to thank Stefan who was super friendly, always available to help, or just for a chat. All staff were great and we would definitely come back again.
