Maison Kenoosha Boutique Hotel & Spa Overview
Look, I’ve stayed at plenty of riads in Marrakech, but Maison Kenoosha honestly caught me off guard – and I mean that in the best way possible. It’s about 20 minutes out from the medina chaos on the Amizmiz road, which sounds far but actually works in your favor. You get all the Atlas Mountain views without the constant honking and haggling right outside your door. The drive out there is pretty scenic too, once you get past the usual Marrakech traffic madness.
What really got me was how they’ve managed to feel authentically Moroccan without going overboard with the whole “look how exotic we are” thing that some places do. The building itself is gorgeous – traditional architecture but with these modern touches that actually make sense. Like, the spa area flows so naturally into the main courtyard that you almost don’t realize where one ends and the other begins. And speaking of the spa, honestly, after a day of wandering around the souks, those hammam sessions hit different when you’re not dealing with city noise bleeding through the walls. The staff there really knows their stuff too – I’m usually skeptical about hotel spas, but these folks clearly weren’t just going through the motions.
The rooms are spacious (which isn’t always a given in Morocco), and you know what I appreciated most? The air conditioning actually works properly, and the water pressure is decent. Sounds basic, but trust me, you’ll thank me for mentioning it when you’re there in July. The food situation is solid – their restaurant does this nice mix of Moroccan classics and international stuff that doesn’t feel forced. I mean, sometimes you just want a proper salad, you know? Plus, they can arrange day trips to the Atlas villages, which is way more convenient than trying to figure out transport yourself. The whole property has this laid-back vibe that makes you want to just hang around the pool with a book instead of rushing off to tick boxes on your Marrakech must-do list.
Here’s the thing though – it’s definitely on the pricier side, but that 9.6 rating isn’t just for show. Everything just works the way it should, from check-in to checkout, and in a place where things can sometimes get a bit… unpredictable, that consistency is worth paying for. If you’re the type who needs to be walking distance from Jemaa el-Fnaa, this isn’t your spot. But if you want to experience Marrakech without feeling like you’re in a tourist fishbowl, and you don’t mind a short taxi ride to get into the action, Maison Kenoosha really delivers on that whole “boutique luxury” promise without being pretentious about it.

What could be improved: à l'exception de l'emplacement qui est un peu éloigné de la ville. Il y a aussi des constructions à l'entrée qui ne facilitent pas l'accès.Exceptionnel – Caroline from France – 4 May 2025 (10/10)
Merveilleux endroit.
