Look, I’ll be straight with you about this place on Rue el Adarissa – it’s one of those spots that actually lives up to its name. When you’re walking through Hivernage (which, honestly, is probably the most civilized part of Marrakech if you’re not into the medina chaos), this apartment catches your eye because it somehow manages to feel both sleek and authentically Moroccan at the same time.

The location is pretty brilliant, actually. You’re far enough from the Jemaa el-Fna madness that you can actually sleep at night, but close enough that a quick taxi ride gets you there in maybe ten minutes. What I really love is that you’re walking distance to some of the better restaurants that locals actually go to – not just the tourist traps. The building itself has this modern facade that doesn’t scream “I’m a tourist staying here,” which I appreciate. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward too, none of that endless paperwork dance you sometimes get.

Inside, they’ve nailed that tricky balance between contemporary comfort and Moroccan character. The apartment feels spacious – I mean, after cramming into some of those riad rooms in the old city, this place feels like a palace. The kitchen is actually functional (revolutionary concept, I know), and the living area has these gorgeous traditional textiles mixed with modern furniture that doesn’t look like it came from a hotel catalog. You know what really sold me though? The bathroom. Proper water pressure, modern fixtures, but with these beautiful zellige tiles that remind you you’re definitely not in Kansas anymore. The air conditioning works properly too – trust me, you’ll care about this if you’re visiting between May and September.

The whole Hivernage neighborhood has this interesting vibe where you’ll see Moroccan families out for evening walks alongside tourists who’ve figured out there’s life beyond the medina. There’s a decent café literally around the corner where you can get proper coffee (not the tourist-strength stuff), and the night sounds are actually pleasant – maybe some distant music, kids playing, normal life happening. The apartment gets good natural light during the day, and honestly, it’s just a comfortable base whether you’re planning to explore the souks or you need a quiet place to decompress after getting sensory overload in the old city. It’s not trying to be the flashiest place in town, but sometimes that’s exactly what you want – somewhere that feels like a real home base rather than a hotel room you’re counting down the hours to escape from.

  Ich habe das Quartier wegen der Nähe zum Bahnhof gewählt. Das Apartment liegt in einem großen Gebäudekomplex mit Security im 4.Stock nahe einer 6-spurigen Straße.

  What could be improved: Arriver sur les lieux des travaux un peu partout dans la résidence, la piscine également donc pas accessible alors que on ne m’avais rien dis avant l’état du balcon mauvaise les serviette dehors dans le balcon mouiller, franchement déçu.

  What could be improved: Very bad experience-reserved for 4 people, but the ap is only for 2. No extra beds or extendable couch. We left after the first night with no refund for the second night, because it was impossible to sleep. At arrival only 2 towels and wet sheets and towels on the drying rack, all quite dirty… all in all disappointig!

  What could be improved: A casa precisa de mais talheres/facas.
  À porta do edifício há lugares mas tem sempre gente cobrando por parar o carro. Não de esquecam de pedir a chave da garagem.
