You know what struck me first about Oasi Marrakech? It’s tucked away in this upscale Prestigia development that honestly feels like a completely different world from the chaos of the medina. I mean, don’t get me wrong – I love the energy of central Marrakech, but sometimes you need a place where you can actually hear yourself think, and this spot delivers on that front.

The hotel sits right next to The Montgomerie golf course, which explains why half the guests seem to be wandering around with golf clubs at breakfast. But here’s the thing – even if you’re not into golf (I’m definitely not), the location actually works really well. You’re about 20 minutes from Jemaa el-Fnaa if you want to dive into the tourist madness, but close enough to some excellent local restaurants that most visitors never find. There’s this little place called Café Glacier about 10 minutes away that serves the best mint tea I had during my entire stay – locals pack it every evening around sunset.

The rooms are solid – nothing that’ll blow your mind, but thoughtfully designed with these gorgeous traditional tiles in the bathrooms and surprisingly good air conditioning, which you’ll definitely appreciate if you’re visiting between May and September. The pool area is where this place really shines though. It’s got this relaxed vibe where you can actually snag a decent lounger without getting up at dawn, and the staff brings around fresh fruit and cold towels without you having to ask. Small touches like that make a difference when you’re dealing with Marrakech heat.

Honestly, the 8.4 rating makes sense to me – it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in the city, but it gets the important stuff right. The wifi actually works (crucial if you’re trying to upload those Atlas Mountain photos), parking is included and secure, and the front desk staff seem genuinely helpful rather than just going through the motions. I had an issue with my room key card the second night, and they sorted it out in about two minutes without making me feel like I was bothering them. Plus, they arranged a taxi to the airport that actually showed up on time, which… well, if you’ve spent time in Morocco, you know that’s not always a given.

The breakfast spread is pretty decent too – mix of Moroccan and international options, though I’d skip the pancakes and go straight for the fresh bread and local honey. Pro tip: if you’re planning to explore the souks, ask the concierge about timing. They’ll tell you to go early morning or late afternoon to avoid the worst crowds, and they’re absolutely right. The hotel’s location means you can easily duck back for a midday break by the pool when the medina gets overwhelming, then head out refreshed for dinner. It’s that kind of flexibility that makes Oasi Marrakech work well as a base – comfortable enough to recharge, but not so isolated that you feel disconnected from why you came to Morocco in the first place.

  What could be improved: Property was cancelled one hour after the booking due some electrical problems ?!? Before cancellation we booked for a good price of 100 Euro/night. Owner wanted first 50 Euro for early check-in before 15 hrs – after telling us that normally the property's price is 180 Euro/day with a minimum of two nights! Seems like he didn't wanted to give us the apartment for o my 100…
