Palais FARAH Overview
So I’ll be honest – when I first heard about Palais FARAH being in the Palmeraie district, I wasn’t sure what to expect. You know how some hotels tout their “peaceful location” and you end up feeling like you’re in the middle of nowhere? Well, this actually works in your favor here. The Palmeraie is this sprawling palm grove area about 15 minutes north of Marrakech’s medina, and it’s where a lot of the nicer resorts have set up shop because, frankly, there’s room to breathe.
What struck me about this place is how it manages to feel authentically Moroccan without being over-the-top about it. The architecture has that traditional riad influence – you know, the kind with interior courtyards and those gorgeous geometric tiles – but it’s scaled up to proper hotel proportions. The staff actually seems to know what they’re doing, which isn’t always a given even at four-star places here (I mean, I’ve had some experiences…). Check-in was smooth, and they genuinely seemed to care about making sure I knew how to get around the area. The grounds are pretty expansive, so you’re not bumping into other guests constantly, and there’s this nice mix of families and couples without it feeling chaotic.
Here’s the thing about staying in the Palmeraie – you’re trading the immediate buzz of being near Jemaa el-Fnaa for actual tranquility and space, plus you get those incredible Atlas Mountain views on clear days. The hotel runs a shuttle to the medina, which is clutch because while taxis aren’t expensive, having that reliable option removes one decision from your day. The pool area is honestly where this place shines; it’s got that resort feel but maintains the Moroccan aesthetic, and the poolside service is on point. I spent way more time there than I planned to, just because it was so comfortable. The rooms are solid – nothing revolutionary, but well-maintained with decent air conditioning (crucial in summer, trust me) and surprisingly good water pressure, which any Morocco veteran will tell you is not guaranteed. The restaurant food is better than typical hotel fare, though I’d still recommend venturing out to try some of the local spots in the area – there’s this amazing place about ten minutes away that serves the best pastilla I’ve had outside of Fez, but that’s another story entirely.

The location is an ideal place to get away from the hustle and bustle of Marakesh. The room was exceptional and rather larger than I expected. The patio and pool on the door step made the experience. Soso is very welcoming and makes you feel welcomed. Bear in mind this is a french speaking establishment, English is spoken by a limited number.
What could be improved: Unfortunately, due to maybe low season there weren't many staff on. Apart from that no concerns.Amazing time – Vasco from Netherlands – 20 February 2025 (8/10)
Great service.
Fatima and Reine were very helpful and friendly
What could be improved: Far away from the city.Exceptional – Nana from Norway – 29 November 2024 (10/10)

What could be improved: bathroms could need a upgrade. The members of staff were really lovely and kind and made our stay a bit more special. – Wilson from United Kingdom – 12 November 2024 (8/10)
A stunning building. Our suite was huge. The swimming pool was amazing. It was tremendous value for money. This is a French speaking establishment so very good chance for me to practice my language skills.
What could be improved: It was a little bit remote, but if you are looking for a peaceful retreat it is perfect. We didn't see too many other guests around. Could be a good place to travel to with friends and family.Very good place and experience. It is worth staying here and the place and staff are beautiful. – Mohammad from United Kingdom – 10 November 2024 (8/10)
Soso and her staff are very kind and affectionate and they take care of you very well. The scenery of the place is beautiful especially the garden is just beautiful. The breakfast and the food is of very good quality. You have tea, coffee, juice, pastry eggs, butter, cheese, jam, honey, nutella, bread, pancakes and Moroccan sweets for breakfast, can't ask for more. The place is very private and serene and relaxing.
What could be improved: The toilets in the room could do with some work and repair. Especially the fittings can be cleaned. Sometimes it is difficult to get hold of anyone so they can provide a contact number at the reception to speak to someone.Exceptional – Stephan from Austria – 3 November 2024 (10/10)
The place is very beautiful, tipical Marokko style like a real Paace. The room was big and very comfortable. The food in the palace it was delicious.
The Team is very friendly and always at your Service.
Especially the owner, Soso, is always supportive with organising transportation, activities, giving recomandations. We felt treated like part of the family from Soso. A place to be definitively recomanded.Clean, spacious room and very welcoming staff – Mohamed from Canada – 1 October 2024 (10/10)
Clean, welcoming staff, spacious room, beautiful swimming pool and landscape
I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to feel like royalty during their stay in Marrakesh. – Irving from United Kingdom – 27 August 2024 (10/10)
Everything was amazing—the suites, the pool, the views, the hamaman. The facilities resemble a palace, and the hotel hosts make you feel like royalty. The breakfast choices in the morning were a perfect 10/10.
What could be improved: The only downside was that the water in the facilities didn't get hot enough (for my liken) in the big jacuzzi. But everything else was fantastic!
