Palais FARAH Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Palais FARAH feels like stepping into someone’s beautifully curated private estate rather than a traditional hotel. The property sits in Marrakech‘s Palmeraie district, which honestly gives you that authentic Moroccan experience without the constant hustle of the medina — though you’re still close enough to dive into the city when you want to. I mean, there’s something refreshing about having palm groves as your backdrop instead of tour buses lined up outside your window. The architecture here strikes that perfect balance between traditional Moroccan design and modern comfort, and you can tell they’ve put real thought into preserving the cultural authenticity.
Location & Neighborhood
The Palmeraie location is actually brilliant if you know what you’re getting into. You’re about a 15-minute drive from Jemaa el-Fnaa and the souks, but honestly, that distance becomes a blessing after a day of navigating the medina’s maze-like streets. Couples seem to particularly love this spot — and I get why, since it offers that romantic, secluded feeling while keeping Marrakech’s main attractions totally accessible. The free private parking on site is a game-changer too, especially if you’re planning day trips to the Atlas Mountains or Essaouira. You know what’s nice? You can actually hear yourself think here, unlike some of the riad locations in the old city where the call to prayer echoes off every wall at 5 AM.
The Rooms & Amenities
The accommodations feel thoughtfully designed rather than cookie-cutter — each space has its own personality while maintaining that distinctly Moroccan aesthetic. What impressed me most was how they’ve managed to blend traditional elements like tadelakt walls and carved wood details with modern necessities like reliable WiFi and proper air conditioning. The bathrooms are particularly well done, with those gorgeous zellige tiles that catch the light beautifully. It’s clear they understand that travelers want authentic experiences without sacrificing comfort, and they’ve nailed that balance.
Breakfast & Dining
The breakfast setup here is honestly one of the most inclusive I’ve encountered in Morocco. They’ve got continental options, but also vegetarian, vegan, halal, and gluten-free choices — which is pretty remarkable considering how specialized dietary needs can sometimes be challenging in traditional Moroccan hospitality. The spread typically includes fresh local fruits, Moroccan pastries, and international options, so whether you’re craving msemen with honey or just want familiar cereal, you’re covered. They serve it in a setting that makes you want to linger over your coffee, watching the morning light filter through the palm trees.
Why Guests Love It
What really sets this place apart is how it manages to feel both peaceful and connected. You get that serene, resort-like atmosphere during downtime, but Marrakech’s energy is just a short taxi ride away when you’re ready for it. The staff seems to genuinely understand the rhythm of travel — they know when to offer assistance and when to let you simply enjoy the space. With an 8.5 rating from guests, it’s clear that Palais FARAH delivers on creating memorable stays without the pretension you sometimes find at more centrally located properties. It’s the kind of place where you actually look forward to returning each evening.
To book hotel in Marrakech for the Marrakech Popular Arts Festival, travelers favor riad rooftops overlooking drummers and dancers.

The location is an ideal place to get away from the hustle and bustle of Marakesh. The room was exceptional and rather larger than I expected. The patio and pool on the door step made the experience. Soso is very welcoming and makes you feel welcomed. Bear in mind this is a french speaking establishment, English is spoken by a limited number.
What could be improved: Unfortunately, due to maybe low season there weren't many staff on. Apart from that no concerns.Amazing time – Vasco from Netherlands – 20 February 2025 (8/10)
Great service.
Fatima and Reine were very helpful and friendly
What could be improved: Far away from the city.Exceptional – Nana from Norway – 29 November 2024 (10/10)

A stunning building. Our suite was huge. The swimming pool was amazing. It was tremendous value for money. This is a French speaking establishment so very good chance for me to practice my language skills.
What could be improved: It was a little bit remote, but if you are looking for a peaceful retreat it is perfect. We didn't see too many other guests around. Could be a good place to travel to with friends and family.Very good place and experience. It is worth staying here and the place and staff are beautiful. – Mohammad from United Kingdom – 10 November 2024 (8/10)
Soso and her staff are very kind and affectionate and they take care of you very well. The scenery of the place is beautiful especially the garden is just beautiful. The breakfast and the food is of very good quality. You have tea, coffee, juice, pastry eggs, butter, cheese, jam, honey, nutella, bread, pancakes and Moroccan sweets for breakfast, can't ask for more. The place is very private and serene and relaxing.
What could be improved: The toilets in the room could do with some work and repair. Especially the fittings can be cleaned. Sometimes it is difficult to get hold of anyone so they can provide a contact number at the reception to speak to someone.Exceptional – Stephan from Austria – 3 November 2024 (10/10)
The place is very beautiful, tipical Marokko style like a real Paace. The room was big and very comfortable. The food in the palace it was delicious.
The Team is very friendly and always at your Service.
Especially the owner, Soso, is always supportive with organising transportation, activities, giving recomandations. We felt treated like part of the family from Soso. A place to be definitively recomanded.Clean, spacious room and very welcoming staff – Mohamed from Canada – 1 October 2024 (10/10)
Clean, welcoming staff, spacious room, beautiful swimming pool and landscape
I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to feel like royalty during their stay in Marrakesh. – Irving from United Kingdom – 27 August 2024 (10/10)
Everything was amazing—the suites, the pool, the views, the hamaman. The facilities resemble a palace, and the hotel hosts make you feel like royalty. The breakfast choices in the morning were a perfect 10/10.
What could be improved: The only downside was that the water in the facilities didn't get hot enough (for my liken) in the big jacuzzi. But everything else was fantastic!
