Palais Nouhass Overview

Look, I’ve stayed at a lot of places in Marrakech, and Palais Nouhass honestly surprised me in the best way. It’s tucked away in the Palmeraie Nord area – you know, that part where the road gets a bit narrower and you start seeing actual palm groves instead of just tourist shops. The first thing that hit me when I walked in was how quiet it was. I mean, you’re still close enough to the medina (maybe 15 minutes by taxi), but you’re completely removed from that constant buzz of scooters and vendors calling out.

The place has this authentic riad feel without being too precious about it, if that makes sense. The courtyard has these beautiful zellige tiles that actually look lived-in rather than museum-perfect, and there’s this fountain that’s just the right volume – soothing without being overpowering. What really got me was the staff’s approach – they’re genuinely helpful without hovering. The guy at reception (I think his name was Youssef) gave me spot-on restaurant recommendations that weren’t just the usual tourist traps. He suggested this little place in Gueliz that I never would have found otherwise. The rooms are spacious by Marrakech standards, and honestly, the air conditioning works properly – which isn’t always a given, even at four-star places here. I stayed in one of the suites facing the garden, and the morning light coming through those traditional wooden screens was pretty spectacular.

Here’s what I really appreciated – the location gives you the best of both worlds. You’re in the Palmeraie, so you get that desert-meets-oasis vibe with actual palm trees everywhere, but you’re not stranded out there like some of the big resort hotels. There’s a decent café about a five-minute walk away where locals actually go for breakfast, and the hotel’s own restaurant serves tagines that don’t taste like they came from a tourist cookbook. The pool area is where this place really shines though – it’s got this view toward the Atlas Mountains that’s particularly stunning around sunset. I spent way more time there than I planned, just reading and occasionally cooling off. The water’s kept at the right temperature year-round, which is harder to find than you’d think. Parking’s easy too, which matters if you’re renting a car to explore the valleys. The 9.4 rating makes sense once you’ve been there – it’s not flashy or over-the-top, but everything just works the way it should. You’ll sleep well, eat well, and actually feel like you’re experiencing Morocco rather than just visiting a hotel that happens to be in Morocco.

  Beautifully decorated hotel & so tranquil. The bed was very comfortable & large size room. The owners were exceptional hosts who can't do enough to help you, as were all the staff. If you're looking for a peaceful holiday away from the madness of city life, would highly recommend.
  
  What could be improved: There was nothing we didn't like but would recommend playing music in the public areas to add to the ambience. There could be some baskets by the pool for people to put dirty towels in when they have finished sitting by the pool so you know when beds are free.

  The property is set 15 mins outside of Marrakech. It is easy to get into the city and back to the hotel. This hotel is the most peaceful hotel I have ever stayed at. The staff are absolutely wonderful and will go the extra mile to help with absolutely any query, from booking dinners to excursions and where to go for shopping. They are absolutely amazing. The WiFi is also strong no matter where you are in the property.

  Fantastic experience in a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere.
  Beautiful, spacious property with bright, airy rooms, a lovely pool area, delicious food, and exceptional service. The brothers, Cherif and Imam, were incredibly welcoming and attentive, making us feel truly cared for. Even though the property is large, it felt private and not crowded at all.
  
  The WiFi connection is excellent throughout the property, including the pool and restaurant, making it very convenient for remote work. The restaurant staff were attentive to our preferences, and the quality of the food was outstanding. The pool area quickly became our favorite spot—clean water, quiet and intimate atmosphere. There’s also a small outdoor gym, well equipped for a good lifting session. We didn’t have time to explore some of the other amazing spaces, like the spa and relaxation areas, but we hope to return to enjoy them soon!
  
  Our entire stay, including leisure time in the city, was perfectly organized with the help of Cherif and Imam. Thank you so much—we’re definitely coming back!

  Fantastic hotel, completely Zen. I was in total relaxation from the moment I got there. Stunning hotel, grounds & room!
  Not too far from everything. Staff were super helpful.
  It’s a lovely little oasis away from the hustle & bustle of Marakkech. Would highly recommend!

  We were waiting for 30 mins only to be served a selection of cakes. It was not nice waiting whilst you are hungry and not having a good selection of breakfast. Please could you offer a decent breakfast in order for your hotel to be 10/10!

  Palais Nouhass is where comfort and warmth meet each other.
  
  Three brothers who run the place together with friendly and welcoming staff, make your stay feel like a VIP moment. At the end of the stay I felt like I bonded with new friends instead of a temporary stay at just any hotel.
  
  When anything was needed in the rooms, service was provided instantly. Cleanliness is top notch.
  
  The owner and staff are care for your well being, ask for the prices you pay for your taxis and tours to make sure you are paying the appropriate prices. They provide recommendations for meals to have and places to visit without gaining anything from it themselves.
  
  The pool is a nice addition to the place and is large enough to have a decent swim and a refreshing experience in the Marrakech heat.
  
  The restaurant that provides breakfast, lunch and diner provides good quality meals where you are served with care. One thing to note is that the prices for lunch and dinner are (as expected) priced according to European standards.
  
  We had to leave before breakfast time the next day and breakfast was delivered a night before so we didn't leave on empty stomach.
  
  I had to work a bit and had some online meetings. The internet was good and stable 10/10 even though some review claimed the contrary. No alcohol is served in the restaurant nor allowed at the pool which made me and my family (as muslims) feel very comfortable around the place.
  
  Overall my family and I had a great experience and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Palais Nouhass to anyone.

  The property was beautiful and so peaceful only being 20 minutes from the Medina. The food was excellent and the staff was great! It’s owned by 3 brothers who are always at the property making sure you have everything you need: they truly care about your time spent there.

  Located in one of the most prestigious areas of Marrakesh, the place is a perfect blend of a palace and a hotel, featuring a decent sized swimming pool and stunning views — ideal for capturing beautiful photos both day and night.
  Don’t miss the sunset, where the red soil glows in harmony with the golden rays of the sun — a truly magical sight.
  The staff were exceptionally attentive, always polite, and full of warm smiles.
  The hotel is managed by three young professionals — including two wonderful brothers who also own the property — who were always present to ensure everything ran smoothly and our stay was flawless.
  Breakfast was complete, delicious, and nourishing.
  
  Highly recommended.
