But walking into this place on Place de la Liberté actually made me do a double-take. The building itself (immeuble berdaii) sits right at this perfect corner where Mohammed V meets Moulay EL Hassan, and you know what? That intersection is basically the heartbeat of Gueliz – you’re watching the whole neighborhood unfold from up there.

The jacuzzi part isn’t just marketing fluff, either. I mean, after spending hours wandering through the medina or haggling in the souks, sinking into that hot water while looking out over the Atlas Mountains… well, it’s sort of therapeutic in a way I wasn’t expecting. The penthouse setup gives you these sweeping views that change throughout the day – early morning when the call to prayer echoes across the city, late afternoon when the mountains turn this incredible shade of purple, and honestly, the sunset views are ridiculous. What really got me though was how quiet it stays up there, even though you’re literally at one of the busiest intersections in Gueliz. The soundproofing is actually impressive – you get the energy of the location without the constant honking and street noise that can drive you crazy elsewhere in the city.

The location thing is huge, and not just because it sounds good on paper. You’re a two-minute walk from Café de France (grab their mint tea, seriously), and the Carré Eden shopping center is right there when you need to escape the heat or pick up something you forgot to pack. But here’s what the guidebooks don’t tell you – being on Mohammed V means you can flag down petits taxis without the usual hassle, and the parking situation is actually manageable, which anyone who’s driven in Marrakech will tell you is basically a miracle. The building’s entrance feels secure without being intimidating, and check-in was refreshingly straightforward – no endless forms or confused looks when I showed my confirmation.

I stayed here during shoulder season (April), and the staff seemed genuinely invested in making sure everything worked properly. The 9.6 rating isn’t inflated – it’s earned through those little details that matter when you’re actually living somewhere for a few days. The air conditioning works properly (not always a given), there’s reliable hot water, and the kitchen setup is functional if you want to grab fresh ingredients from the nearby markets. Honestly, the whole experience felt more like borrowing a friend’s really nice apartment than staying at a hotel, which is exactly what you want when you’re trying to experience Marrakech beyond the tourist bubble.

  Es un museo muy curioso y bonito. Tiene dos terrazas, en la superior con unas vistas excepcionales de Marrakech y en las que se puede divisar el Atlas. Salón muy amplio y confortable cocina, estancias, todo muy bonito y curioso. Ya lo mejor es el recibimiento de Rabia. Una señora que hace todo lo posible para agradar y ayudar en todo lo que pueda. Recibimiento con un the verde marroquí que, hace que te integres inmediatamente en este paraíso.

  Location was excellent, 5 mins from supermarket, 15 mins to the market, lots of restaurants within easy walking distance so a car isnt required. Rabia was the perfect host and so friendly with a brilliant sense of humour, she met us with mint tea, biscuits and fruit along with plenty of drinks in the fridge! The apartment is like a mini art studio/museum with so many unique objects to enjoy!! Even though you can hear the traffic in the front room (although this isn't an inconvenience), you certainly can't in the bedroom and it was the best nights sleep we've had for a while! There is a 2 tier outside area which is just for your use with plenty of seating. Every need is catered for, from a hairdryer, robes, shawls for chilly evenings to every condiment imaginable to spice up your meal. Well worth booking this unusual accommodation

  Good location, just a short walk to the main square and city.
  Everything was set up when we arrived, Rabia is amazing and made us feel so welcome when we arrived. The tajine she made was the most tastiest one ever 🙂

  호스트와 관리인이 친절하였고, 외국에 거주하였음에도 불구하고 문자메시지를 통해 연락을 자주 주면서 안부를 물었고, 불편한 점을 바로 해결해주었어요. 집안은 개인 박물관에 온 것처럼 다양한 사진과 그림, 여러 나라에서 수집한 물건들로 가득해서 볼 거리가 많았어요. 야외에 자쿠지와 특별한 공간이 있어서 날씨가 따뜻한 계절에 오면 잘 이용할 수 있을 것 같아요.

  Great location, it’s between old and new town. The main square and market is just 10 mins walk away. The apartment is very nice, tastefully decorated. Terrace and jacuzzi is added bonus.
