Look, I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Prestigia 16 in Marrakech Golf City, I wasn’t sure what to expect. The name sounds a bit fancy, maybe even pretentious, but once you actually get there, it’s got this relaxed residential vibe that totally won me over. It’s tucked away in building 16 of the Corail complex, which means you’re not dealing with the chaos of the medina but you’re still close enough to everything that matters.

The thing about staying here is that you feel like you’re living in Marrakech rather than just visiting it. I mean, you’re in this modern residential area where actual locals live – there’s a Carrefour just down the road (trust me, you’ll appreciate this when you need bottled water at 9 PM), and the golf course is literally right there if that’s your thing. The apartment itself is spacious in that way that makes you wonder why hotel rooms are usually so cramped. The kitchen actually works – I made coffee there every morning instead of hunting for cafes, which saved me both money and the daily struggle of explaining “café americain” with hand gestures.

What really struck me was how quiet it gets at night. You know how some places in Marrakech can be… well, lively until all hours? Here, once the sun goes down, it’s peaceful enough that you can actually hear yourself think. The building’s well-maintained too – the elevator works (small miracle), and there’s proper parking if you’ve rented a car to explore the Atlas Mountains. The only thing that took some getting used to was that it’s about a 15-minute drive to Jemaa el-Fnaa, but honestly, after a day of navigating the souks and dodging motorbikes, coming back to this calm corner felt like a reward. Plus, the area has this great selection of local restaurants that tourists never find – there’s this little place around the corner that does incredible tagines for half what you’d pay in the old city. The 8.8 rating makes sense once you’ve been there a few days; it’s one of those spots that grows on you rather than hitting you with flashy amenities you don’t actually need.

  An extremely aggressive host who first claimed that we had not paid for the rent of the accommodation and only after threatening a full local police report did he agree that we had already paid. In addition to this the bathroom was in poor condition which made me slip in the bath that cracked and damaged my ankle and leg. We reported this immediately to the local representative who in turn called the owner. The owner then informed booking.com claiming that we had not told anybody about the damage and left as if avoiding any interaction regarding the problem.
  
  What could be improved: The aggressiveness of the owner, the lack of honesty with the local representative, the poor condition of the bathroom which I shall include photographs and video of in this report later. The location of the apartment is poor, the kitchen utensils and disgraceful condition of the frying pans pots and other kitchen items. All in all extremely poor.

  Customer service was absolutely perfect. Saied was very helpful throughout the stay. He helped us recommend activities to do Morocco and help us with best areas in marrakesh. I truly recommend and he made us feel part of his family.

  The owner put us in touch with Sieed who was outstanding and so helpful . I was so grateful to his continual guidance kindness and help . He was amazing . The property was clean with stunning views . The kitchen was equipped well and worked very well . It was a very calm setting and very secure , we felt very safe . The security staff were really kind and helpful also .i would strongly recommend this apartment.
