Look, I’ll be honest – when I first saw this place on Avenue Guemassa, I wasn’t expecting much from what looked like just another golf resort apartment. But walking into this ground-floor unit at Résidence Opale, I actually had to stop and take it in. The terrace is genuinely massive, and I mean the kind where you can have your morning coffee on one end and barely hear conversations happening on the other. The garden space flows right from there, which is pretty rare for these golf developments – usually you’re stuck looking at other people’s balconies.

The two bedrooms are laid out smart, honestly. The main one opens right onto that terrace, so you wake up to the golf course stretching out instead of traffic noise (though you will hear the occasional early morning golfer, just so you know). What really got me was how they’ve positioned everything to catch the Atlas Mountains in the distance – the developer actually thought about the views here. The pool situation is interesting too; it’s shared but never felt crowded when I was there, probably because most guests are either out on the course or exploring Marrakech proper. The water stays pretty clean, and there’s enough space around it that you’re not bumping elbows with strangers.

You know what I appreciated most? The location makes sense for how people actually want to spend time in Marrakech. Yeah, you’re about 20 minutes from the medina chaos (which is perfect – close enough for dinner, far enough to sleep), but you’re also right in this bubble where you can decompress. The golf course keeps everything quiet and green, and parking is actually straightforward, which anyone who’s driven in Marrakech will tell you is worth its weight in gold. The whole Prestigia development has this lived-in feel that a lot of the newer resort complexes lack – it’s been around long enough that the landscaping has matured and the staff know what they’re doing. I mean, it’s not going to blow your mind with cutting-edge design or anything, but if you want space to spread out, easy access to both golf and the city, and a place where you can actually picture yourself relaxing for more than a night or two, this hits the mark. The four-star rating feels right – comfortable without being flashy, well-maintained without being precious about it.
