It’s tucked away in Jnane Aourade, which means you’re getting that authentic Marrakech residential vibe without the constant chaos of tourists bumping into you every five minutes. The building itself – well, it’s sort of modern meets traditional, if that makes sense. Clean lines but with enough Moroccan touches that you don’t feel like you’re staying in some generic European chain.

What really got me was how quiet it is at night. I mean, you’re still in Marrakech, so there’s the occasional call to prayer and some street sounds, but nothing like what you’d deal with if you stayed closer to Jemaa el-Fnaa. The apartments (because that’s what they really are) feel properly lived-in rather than hotel-sterile. My unit had this great little kitchenette – actually functional, not just for show – and the bathroom was surprisingly spacious. The whole place has this citrine theme going on, which I guess connects to the address, and they’ve done it tastefully without going overboard. You know how some places beat you over the head with their concept? Not here.

Here’s the thing though – and this is why I’d actually recommend it to friends – the staff genuinely seem to care about making sure you’re sorted. Check-in was smooth, they helped coordinate a taxi to the medina (about 15 minutes, maybe 20 with traffic), and when I had questions about getting to the Majorelle Gardens, they didn’t just point me toward the tourist traps. They suggested this little café nearby where locals actually go, and honestly, some of my best memories from the trip happened there. The location works brilliantly if you want to explore both the new city and the old medina without feeling trapped in either. Plus, parking is actually possible here – something you’ll appreciate if you’re brave enough to rent a car in Morocco. The whole Jnane Aourade area is developing nicely, lots of good restaurants within walking distance, and you’re close enough to the main attractions without paying medina prices for everything. It’s the kind of place where you can have a proper Moroccan experience without feeling like you’re performing tourism every second of the day.
