So I stumbled upon Rêve de MARRAKECH during my last trip to Morocco, and honestly, it was one of those happy accidents that turned into a real gem. The name literally means “Dream of Marrakech” – and you know what, they’re not being dramatic about it. This place sits in the Agdal district, which is actually perfect if you want to experience Marrakech without feeling like you’re trapped in a tourist bubble every second.

The thing about Agdal is that it’s got this residential vibe that most visitors never see. You’re still close enough to hit the medina when you want that full sensory overload (it’s maybe a 15-minute taxi ride), but you can also walk to normal cafés where locals actually hang out. The apartment-style setup – it’s in the ENNAIM residence – means you get way more space than your typical hotel room. I mean, we’re talking actual living areas, not just a bed crammed next to a tiny desk. The building itself is modern and clean, which honestly was a relief after some of the more “authentic” places I’ve stayed where authentic apparently meant questionable plumbing.

What really got me was the attention to detail. The décor manages to feel genuinely Moroccan without going overboard with the tourist-trap aesthetic – you won’t find yourself surrounded by a million throw pillows and fake lanterns. Instead, there’s this subtle blend of traditional elements with modern comfort that actually works. The 9.2 rating makes sense once you’re there; it’s the kind of place where small things are handled well. Check-in was smooth, the Wi-Fi actually worked consistently (crucial for staying connected), and the neighborhood is quiet enough that you can sleep without earplugs, which – trust me – is not always a given in Marrakech.

The location really shines if you’re planning to explore beyond the obvious tourist spots. There’s a Carrefour nearby for groceries (super handy if you want to grab snacks or water without paying hotel prices), and you’re positioned well for day trips to the Atlas Mountains or even Essaouira. Plus, getting around the city is easier from here since you’re not dealing with the narrow streets of the old city every time you want to go somewhere. Parking isn’t a nightmare either, which anyone who’s driven in Marrakech will tell you is basically a miracle. The four-star rating feels about right – it’s comfortable and well-run without being stuffy or overpriced. I’d definitely book it again, especially if I was traveling with friends or family and wanted space to spread out. It’s one of those places that just gets the balance right between experiencing the real Morocco and having a comfortable base to return to.

  BEST PLACE IN MARRAKECH! We stayed at 6 diffrent places in Marocko within 3 weeks, this was absolutely the BEST one! For the first time we could enjoy a clean apartment, a polite host, clean bed linen, clean towels, clean and soft beds, clean kitchen accessories. Even the toilet paper was premium 😀 This was like a 5 star hotel. The other apartments had so many great reviews but they were not nearly clean as this one. The host was super friendly and continuesly asked if we needed anything. Overall: Great apartment, nice pools, clean areas and a exotic feeling from the terass. Very beatiful surrounding. 10/10!!!   Très bon emplacement avec un accès facile depuis l'aéroport. Appartement très bien équipé et spacieux. Magnifique piscine et jardin intérieur. Le complexe résidentiel est parfaitement sécurisé à l'entrée et à la sortie. Notre hôte était disponible et réactive.

  De villa heeft een perfecte ligging. De host is heel erg vriendelijk en helpt je overal bij. De villa komt niks te kort alles is aanwezig. Het zwembad was perfect. Ik kom hier zeker terug!
