The mint tea alone is worth the stay – they serve it in the courtyard around 4 PM when the light hits just right, and you can hear the call to prayer echoing off the medina walls.

What really sets this place apart is how it feels authentically Moroccan without being overwhelming for first-time visitors. The rooms are comfortable – not luxury resort level, but solid 4-star with good AC (crucial in summer, trust me) and surprisingly quiet considering you’re right in the heart of the medina. I stayed in October and barely heard any street noise, which was a pleasant surprise since the souks can get pretty chaotic during the day. The location is actually perfect for exploring – you’re maybe a 5-minute walk from Jemaa el-Fnaa square, but tucked away enough that you’re not dealing with constant hustlers and tour groups right outside your door. The staff knows the medina like the back of their hand, and they’ll give you directions that actually make sense instead of just pointing vaguely toward the main square. Plus, they seem to have good relationships with local artisans, so if you’re looking for authentic carpets or leather goods, they’ll point you toward the real deal instead of the tourist traps.

Here’s the thing though – this isn’t a place where you’ll get pampered with a spa and room service. It’s more about the experience of staying in a traditional riad while still having modern comforts. The breakfast spread is generous and includes fresh local bread and olives, though it’s served at set times so don’t expect to roll down at 11 AM. The 8.3 rating makes sense to me – it’s not perfect (the WiFi can be spotty in some rooms, and the hot water takes a minute to kick in), but it delivers on what it promises. If you’re looking for an authentic medina experience without sacrificing comfort, and you actually want to engage with Moroccan culture rather than just Instagram it, Riad Aïcha Kitchen hits that sweet spot.   Excellent and convenient location- 50m away from Jemaa el-Fnaa. It’s a modern, clean and neat riad. The rooftop lounge was spectacular and had an amazing sunrise and sunset view. Saeed cooked us a lovely breakfast everyday and the staff were very helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

  Good location, minimalist interior design if you like it. Very clean even taking the fact they are demolishing the house next door. Nice staff.
  
  What could be improved: No privacy in the room, you can hear everyone on the stairs. No ventilation in toilet and in room – just small window to staircase. This is more a B&B that a Riad. Breakfast was realy basic, so we had it only once.
