The moment you step through that heavy wooden door (and I mean heavy – it’s like entering a fortress), everything shifts. The courtyard hits you with this incredible contrast – cool stone underfoot, the scent of orange blossoms mixing with that distinct riad smell of old wood and mint tea. They’ve got this traditional fountain in the center that actually works, unlike some places where it’s just decorative. What really impressed me was how they’ve maintained the authentic feel without skimping on comfort. The rooms – well, they’re what you’d expect from a proper 4-star riad, but with thoughtful touches like actual water pressure in the shower and air conditioning that doesn’t sound like a helicopter landing. The staff here actually remembers your name, which sounds small but makes a huge difference when you’re trying to navigate the medina’s morning bustle.

Here’s what you should know: the rooftop terrace is absolutely worth waking up early for. I’m talking about proper Atlas Mountain views on clear days, and honestly, the sunrise hits differently when you’re sipping mint tea up there. The location means you’re close enough to walk to the main souks – maybe 10 minutes of pleasant wandering – but far enough that you won’t be kept awake by late-night revelry. Parking is non-existent (this is the medina, after all), but they’ll arrange for someone to meet you at the nearest accessible point and help with luggage. That 9.3 rating isn’t just numbers on a screen – it shows in details like how they remember you prefer your tagine less spicy, or the way they’ll quietly arrange a late checkout without making it feel like a huge favor. The only minor gripe I’d have is that WiFi can be spotty in some corners, but honestly, isn’t that partly why you came to Morocco anyway?

  The staff was very friendly. We feel very welcome by Sana and Youness, who treated us like friends. The breakfast and the service were wonderful. The place was clean and had easy access.

The manager Mohammad was extremely helpful from all points of view… organising taxis, pointing out places of interest and kindly allowing our family to leave luggage for a while after checkout.
