Riad Dada Mouss & Suites Overview
You know what really caught me off guard about Riad Dada Mouss & Suites? The fact that it’s tucked away on this narrow derb in Sidi Ayoub where you’ll probably get lost at least once trying to find it – but honestly, that’s half the charm. I mean, you’re literally steps from the chaos of the main medina streets, but once you slip through that heavy wooden door, it’s like someone hit the mute button on Marrakech. The whole place wraps around this gorgeous central courtyard with orange trees that actually smell incredible in the morning (though fair warning, the fountains can be a bit loud if you’re a light sleeper and get a ground floor room).
The rooms themselves are pretty spacious by riad standards, and they’ve done this interesting thing where they’ve kept all the traditional tadelakt walls and carved cedar details but added modern touches that actually work – good WiFi, decent air conditioning, and bathrooms where the hot water doesn’t take forever to kick in. I stayed in one of the suites and the little sitting area with those low banquettes was perfect for planning the next day’s wandering through the souks. What I really appreciated was how the staff – particularly this guy Hassan who seems to know everyone in the neighborhood – gave me directions that actually made sense instead of the usual vague gesturing you sometimes get.
The location thing is honestly perfect if you want to be in the thick of things but not completely overwhelmed. You’re maybe a ten-minute walk from Jemaa el-Fna square, and there’s this little hammam just around the corner that locals use (way more authentic than the tourist ones). The breakfast they serve up on the rooftop terrace is nothing fancy, but sitting up there with mint tea watching the Atlas Mountains emerge from the morning haze – well, that’s worth the slightly higher price point. Plus, you can actually see the Koutoubia mosque from up there, which is pretty magical when the call to prayer starts echoing off all the surrounding buildings. The 8.7 rating makes total sense to me; it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in town, but it gets all the important stuff right and the atmosphere is genuinely relaxing after a day of navigating the medina’s beautiful madness.

Reviews of Riad Dada Mouss & Suites
Exceptional – Simon from United Kingdom – 5 January 2025 (10/10)
A warm welcome from Moustafa and his family really helped as we arrived quite late at night into the madness of the medina. The Riad is in a great location and is stylishly designed in true Moroccan decor. Breakfast was lovely each day with reams of mint tea. Abdul was super helpful and Mouss gave sound advice on navigation, safety and good restaurants. We will return again to Dada Mouss!!

We stayed 10 days at Dada Mouss and every time we returned to the riad, it felt like coming home. Mustafa,Abdul and Aisha were absolutely wonderful, always making sure that we had everything we needed. Everything was extremely comfortable and of good quality and we were delighted by the rich traditional fittings.
We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this lovely riad to anyone planning a trip to Marrakech.

Abdul and his family was very hospitable and kind. He offered great advice, and helped answer all our questions. The breakfast was lovely and everyone we interacted with was very welcoming.
What could be improved: The property can be a little difficult to find at night and you may run into people in the surrounding areas that will try to tell you that roads are closed. Rest assured, Abdul will give good tips before you go out and as long as you ignore the people talking at you, it’s not a problem.Lovely welcoming Riad in Marrakech – Meera from United Kingdom – 2 October 2024 (10/10)
We were welcomed with mint tea and biscuits on arrival. We shared this tea with the owner, Mousstafa who explained the layout of the city using a very helpful map. This made navigating the city so easy. Mousstafa and Abdul were lovely and we felt welcomed and treated like family.
The room was spotlessly clean. Air conditioning worked well, hot water was great and the wifi was high speed. The bed was comfortable too.
Abdul prepared a lovely breakfast for us each morning.
The Riad is very centrally located only a 10 mins walk away from every main point in Marrakech. This made exploring the city so much fun.
Definitely stay here in Marrakech, you'll have a lovely time and be welcomed like family. As I was a solo traveling woman I got lot of help from Riad Dada Mouss team. They were so helpful and hospitable. My exp – Carmen from Estonia – 30 September 2024 (9/10)

Very relaxing and charming Riad at walking distance from the Fnaa Square – El from Belgium – 23 July 2024 (9/10)
I really liked my stay in this hotel.
It's the very tipical traditional Riad that you may find in all the old Madina of Marrakech.
I visited the city several times but this is the first time I book this kind of structure. And i will do it surely again being that the stay was amazing.
I arrived very late at the airport and a person from the Riad came to pick me up at the airport (you will need to pay for this service obviously) once arrived even if tired , i was welcomed with Tea , buscuits and fruit i found this really beautiful and i wil never thank enough Mr. Abdelouhab for the friendly support and welcome at the Riad.
The room was beautiful and finely decored with traditional decor from Morocco. The Private bathroom was ok.
Concerning the breakfast , it was really good in the terrace where there's a small swimming pool to relax in the hot days.
Everything is at walking distance , and by walking in the streets you will really enjoy the atmosphere and the many colors of the traditional shops. The Riad is a bit difficult to find the first time due to the narrowed streets but then you will get used to it.
All was pefect will be back again.
What could be improved: Being the hotel a riad and located in small narrowed streets, sunlight doesn't arrive easily to some rooms and it's dark even during the day. But in the common areas ( living rooms, terrace) is very sunny instead.
Sometimes little odours comes from the Bathroom but is not so bothering in general.
