Riad Deluxe Overview
You know what hit me first when I walked into Riad Deluxe? The sudden quiet. I mean, you’re literally steps away from the chaos of Derb Dabachi – and trust me, this little street gets properly hectic during the day with locals zipping by on motorbikes and vendors hauling their carts – but the moment you step through that heavy wooden door, it’s like someone hit the mute button on Marrakech. The traditional courtyard design actually works, creating this incredible buffer from all the medina madness outside.
Honestly, I’ve stayed in a handful of riads now, and most of them feel like they’re trying too hard to be either completely authentic or completely modern. This place sort of nails that middle ground without making a big deal about it. The rooms have genuine character – thick tadelakt walls that keep things cool even when it’s blazing outside, and those gorgeous zellige tiles that catch the light differently throughout the day. But they’ve also figured out the practical stuff that matters when you’re actually living there for a few days. The wifi actually works (shocking, I know), the hot water is consistent, and – this might sound silly – but the beds are the right height. You’d be surprised how many riads have these ornate but completely impractical sleeping situations.
The rooftop terrace is where you’ll probably end up spending your evenings, and it’s got this perfect view of the Koutoubia minaret without feeling like you’re in a tourist fishbowl. The staff genuinely knows the neighborhood – not just the obvious tourist spots, but where to grab proper street food that won’t wreck your stomach, which hammams are actually worth your time, and how to navigate the souks without looking like a total mark. Ahmed at the front desk walked me through a shortcut to Jemaa el-Fnaa that cuts about ten minutes off the usual route, which became invaluable after a few days of wandering around. The whole place runs smoothly without that overly formal hotel vibe that can feel a bit suffocating. They’ll arrange airport transfers (definitely worth it – the medina’s narrow streets can be a nightmare if you’re dragging luggage), and they actually stock the mini-fridge with local products alongside the usual overpriced tourist stuff. It’s those small touches that make the difference when you’re trying to settle in somewhere for more than just a night or two.

Best short break – Maddy from United Kingdom – 29 June 2025 (10/10)
Location was perfect. Yousef coordinated our trips very efficiently couldn't have asked for better service from all of the staff
If you are looking for a small but very traditional, clean organised hotel with a five ***** service we recommend the Riad DeluxeA Magical Stay in Marrakech – A Hidden Gem of Tranquility and Hospitality – Syed from Canada – 21 June 2025 (10/10)
From the moment I stepped into this Riad, I felt transported into a serene oasis tucked away in the heart of bustling Marrakech. The beauty of this place is nothing short of breathtaking — every corner of the Riad is carefully curated with traditional Moroccan craftsmanship and artistic detail. The intricate tile work, carved wooden accents, colourful textiles, and warm ambient lighting create an atmosphere that is both luxurious and deeply authentic. A lot of love and thought has gone into preserving the charm and elegance of Moroccan design.
But what truly made my stay unforgettable was the exceptional service provided by the entire team. A special thank you to Sanae, Yusuffe, and Othman, who consistently went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable, informed, and cared for. Whether it was offering local tips, arranging transportation, or simply sharing a friendly smile, their warmth and attentiveness made me feel right at home. They were incredibly professional yet personable — the kind of hosts that make you want to return again and again.
The cleaning staff ladies deserve a special mention as well. They maintained the Riad with such care and consistency, ensuring everything was spotless and fresh without ever being intrusive. It’s clear they take pride in their work, and it added a layer of comfort and peace to the stay.
And then there’s the amazing cooking lady — what a culinary talent! Every meal she prepared was a celebration of Moroccan flavour. From the perfectly spiced tagines to the fluffy couscous and fresh salads, each dish was a delight. Breakfasts were a highlight of the day, enjoyed in the beautiful courtyard or rooftop terrace, with the scent of mint tea and the sound of birds echoing in the background.
This Riad is not just a place to sleep — it’s an experience. A peaceful retreat filled with beauty, kindness, and a team that genuinely cares about
What could be improved: Honestly, there’s nothing negative to say. The only thing to keep in mind is the location — while the Riad’s setting inside the Medina adds to its charm and authenticity, it can be a bit challenging to reach, especially with luggage or when arriving by tuk-tuk. That said, once you arrive, the peaceful atmosphere makes it worth it.Riad Deluxe was a beautiful and quiet spot in the heart of the medina. – Amy from United States – 7 June 2025 (10/10)
This Riad was in a special location right in the medina. We had three separate rooms for our family and each had it's own decor and feel. The rooms were spacious and the beds comfortable. The staff was wonderful – kind and helpful. The included breakfast was delicious and prepared fresh each morning, The coordination of taxis and porters made it a very easy experience especially for us first time travelers to Marrakesh.
What could be improved: We had three rooms and only one had a fridge – so travelling with any medicine and needing lots of water made this a bit challenging. Two of the three rooms had bathrooms are a little tight but this is to be expected in an older building. Due to the door locks (which made us feel very safe and secure) it also seemed to limit any room service – and needing toilet paper and fresh towels meant we had to go in search of these items when needed. Sharing for awareness as none of this was a problem and to some extent added to the unique experience of staying in a roadSuper riad in the middle of marrakech daily confusion. I was thinking that we would miss some rest because road in at th – Sonia from Portugal – 3 June 2025 (10/10)

Delicious and yummy Shawarma 😋😋Lovely riad in the heart of the Medina with excellent attentive staff – Maria from United Kingdom – 9 May 2025 (10/10)
The staff were all amazing. So helpful and polite. They are a major asset to the riad
The room was spacious and beautiful
Beautiful breakfasts
What could be improved: So it’s in the heart of the medina and is therefore noisy especially with people coming and going from their rooms. We expected this so brought ear plugs but wanted to be in the heart of it all so didn’t bother us. For others this may be a factor.Beautiful peaceful Riad in the very centre of the Souks – with very helpful Staff – Ellen from Ireland – 4 May 2025 (10/10)
Beautiful Rooms with peaceful common areas – Staff were extremely friendly and helpful – especially Sanaa, youseff & ottman 🙂
What could be improved: At the time of our stay , one of the rooftop terraces was still under construction
