Riad et Spa Misria Les Oliviers Overview
You know what really surprised me about Riad et Spa Misria Les Oliviers? It’s tucked away on this tiny derb in the Baroudyine quarter – and I mean tiny, like you’ll walk past it twice before you spot the discreet entrance. But honestly, that’s exactly what makes it special. While everyone else is fighting crowds near Jemaa el-Fnaa, you’re stepping into this peaceful oasis that feels like a well-kept secret.
The moment you walk through those heavy wooden doors, there’s this immediate sense of… I don’t know, relief? The medina can be overwhelming (let’s be real), but here you’ve got this gorgeous traditional courtyard with actual olive trees – hence the name – and the sound of trickling water from their fountain. The rooms are spread around different levels, and I loved how each one felt completely different. Mine had these beautiful tadelakt walls that were smooth as silk, and the bed was honestly one of the most comfortable I’ve slept in during my Morocco travels. The spa part isn’t just marketing fluff either – they’ve got this hammam that’s absolutely divine, especially after a day of wandering the souks.
What really gets me is how the staff here actually know the neighborhood. When I asked about finding decent couscous nearby (not tourist couscous, actual good stuff), the guy at reception didn’t just point me toward some expensive place – he walked me halfway there and introduced me to this tiny family spot that doesn’t even have a sign. That’s the kind of local knowledge you can’t fake. The location might seem confusing at first – you’re definitely going to get lost trying to find it initially, everyone does – but it’s actually brilliant. You’re close enough to walk to all the main attractions, but far enough from the chaos that you can sleep without earplugs. And parking? Well, you’ll leave your car outside the medina like everyone else, but they’ll arrange the transfer of your luggage without you even asking.
The breakfast spread happens on the rooftop terrace, and honestly, it’s worth getting up early for. Fresh orange juice, warm msemen, and this view over the medina rooftops with the Atlas Mountains in the distance when it’s clear. I mean, it’s not a huge international buffet or anything, but everything tastes like it was made that morning. The whole place only has about twelve rooms, so it never feels crowded – actually, some mornings I had the terrace completely to myself.
Is it perfect? Well, the WiFi can be spotty (this is the medina, after all), and if you’re someone who needs to be right in the thick of things, you might find it too quiet. But for most people, especially if you want to experience authentic Marrakech without sacrificing comfort, this place hits that sweet spot. The 9.1 rating isn’t just numbers – you can feel why people love it here.

Reviews of Riad et Spa Misria Les Oliviers
The perfect little Riad and a slice of peace away from the energy of the souks. – Georgia from United Kingdom – 11 June 2025 (10/10)
Amazing location, beautiful interior and best of all – the staff, esp Amina were just so lovely. Amina couldn't have done enough for us, from helping us negotiate with a seller and deal with a tricky local (we were two ladies travelling alone). He was kind, professional and so knowledgeable.
I'd go back tomorrow if I could – the perfect little Riad and a slice of peace away from the energy of the souks.Yessin was amazing! So helpful and kind nothing was too much trouble, we had a ballon trip booked having to leave at 5.4 – Maria from United Kingdom – 21 May 2025 (9/10)

This is a beautiful Riad. The staff also really made this place – as the face of the Riad, Yassine went above and beyond, and nothing was too much bother for him. He was such a warm, joyful, and welcoming host. Yassine takes the time to make everyone feel at home, and made some excellent suggestions about how to barter in the souks, how to be safe at night (as a lone female traveller) and even popped out to pick me up a data top-up for my phone.
Whilst staying at the Riad, I had 2 x one-hour massages. This Riad has two secret weapons by the names of: Souade, and Bouchra. Both women were simply OUT OF THIS WORLD! I have had A LOT of massages in my time, and these two women would certainly take the top prize for being utterly PERFECT in every way. Mark my words, you will remember these massages for the rest of your lives!!!
What could be improved: Nothing. I had a delightful stay.Exceptional – Imane from Morocco – 29 January 2025 (10/10)
Lovely riad, rooftop is nice, staff is wonderful. Thank you Yassine for everything and Soukaina too.
We definitely recommend this Riad as a place to stay – Signe from Latvia – 26 January 2025 (9/10)
The staff at Riad provided a safe and comfortable transfer from the airport to the Riad. Upon arrival, all the necessary information about Marrakech and getting around the Medina was provided. The room and the Riad itself were very beautiful, and everything was impeccably clean. The location is absolutely wonderful.
What could be improved: Compared to other Riads, the service staff was more reserved, but that might actually be a good thing. It was not entirely clear to me what additional services were available.I will be staying there again ♥️🤩 – Agata from United Kingdom – 21 January 2025 (10/10)

Great location and even in the Medina the property was really quiet and relaxing. We loved the decoration of the room and the common areas. Breaksfast was nice and the birds signing in the morning was a really nice experience. Staff very friendly and helpful.
What could be improved: Nothing negativeExceptional – Joseph from United Kingdom – 28 November 2024 (10/10)
Amazing service from Aminehafid on check in. Organised excursions late in the day when we arrived at 16:00. Organised a great driver and package to see as much as the city for our 1 night only stay. Great location just off the main Hussle and bustle. 7 minute walk to the central mosque and square. Didn’t use the hotel facilities but rooftop pool and terrace looked amazing. Will be back in the future!
