Riad Fabiola Et Spa By La Siredrah Overview

You know what struck me first about Riad Fabiola Et Spa? The location is absolutely perfect if you actually want to experience the medina without losing your mind trying to find your way back each night. It’s tucked away on Derb Tbib near Bab Gehmat – and honestly, that’s the sweet spot right there. You’re close enough to the main souks that you can walk everywhere, but far enough from the Jemaa el-Fnaa chaos that you can actually sleep at night.

The riad itself feels like someone’s elegant family home that happens to have a spa attached, which I mean, is basically what it is. The traditional architecture is gorgeous – those carved plaster walls and zellige tiles that you see in all the photos are real, not some tourist-trap knockoff. But here’s what they don’t tell you: the rooms vary quite a bit. I stayed in one of the courtyard-facing ones and loved waking up to the sound of the fountain, though if you’re a light sleeper, maybe mention that when you book because the call to prayer at dawn carries beautifully through the central courtyard. The spa is genuinely relaxing – not huge, but the hammam experience was exactly what I needed after getting properly lost in the souk maze for the third time that week.

What really sets this place apart is the staff’s local knowledge. The front desk guy (I think his name was Youssef?) didn’t just give me a map and wish me luck. He actually walked me to the main square the first day and showed me the landmarks to look for on the way back. That kind of thing matters when you’re staying in a 1,000-year-old labyrinth, you know? The breakfast spread is solid – fresh bread, local honey, and proper mint tea – and they’ll pack you something if you’re heading out early for a day trip to the Atlas Mountains. The 8.6 rating makes sense to me; it’s not luxury resort perfect, but it’s authentically Moroccan and well-run. The Wi-Fi actually works (crucial for uploading all those souk photos), and they can arrange airport transfers that won’t rip you off. If you’re looking for that real riad experience without the boutique hotel price tag, this is your spot.

Amazing Riad at beautiful setting inside the front door a little gem of beauty great friendly and very helpful staff so accommodating xxxx would highly recommend a stay there

What could be improved: Hard bed and not much space to sunbath

  • Wonderful Stay – Great Service and Hospitality – Rebecca from United Kingdom – 27 May 2025 (9/10)

We had an amazing stay at Riad Fabiola. The staff were incredibly welcoming and gave us a real feel for traditional Moroccan hospitality. The service was excellent throughout.

The mint tea was the best we had on our trip and breakfast by the pool each morning was a real highlight.
The riad was a peaceful escape from the busy medina and a real authentic experience. There were lots of spaces to relax outside of your room which we enjoyed using as sun spots. Highly recommend!

What could be improved: A few things to note – we stayed in a family room and found that some of the beds weren’t particularly comfortable. The riad is located about a 15-minute walk from the city centre, in a quieter, less touristy area, which meant we were a bit cautious walking back at night.
It’s located down an alley and the exterior is quite plain – you have to knock to be let in, and while the door isn’t always staffed in the late evening, we never waited more than five minutes.
Still, this setup did cause some concern when returning late as a group of girls.

  • Very good – Arvjen from Albania – 24 May 2025 (8/10)

    What could be improved: Nothing

  • It was a very relaxing and enjoyable stay. – Carmel from United Kingdom – 11 February 2025 (9/10)

Food was delicious, staff were friendly and very helpful.

  • Lovely riad, wonderful food 🙂 – Mary from United Kingdom – 14 January 2025 (9/10)

Wonderful staff who were friendly and accommodating. The road itself is beautiful, we had a suite which was lovely but it was a little cramped for the 5 of us (2 adults and 3 children).
The food was really exceptional at the riad, we had lunch 2 days there, wish we could have tried dinner!
Pool was lovely and refreshing for a dip!
The riad is a little way out of the centre, which is fine really and it’s not a bad walk in, just a little busy on the main stretch of road (which was only really a bit more stressful because we have young kids)
