Riad Glatt K Overview
You know what really gets me about Riad Glatt K? It’s tucked away on Rue Douar Graoua in a way that feels completely accidental – like you stumbled onto something the guidebooks haven’t figured out yet. I mean, you’re still very much in the heart of the medina, but somehow it doesn’t feel like you’re fighting crowds every time you step outside. The address says 60 Bis, and honestly, that “Bis” should’ve been my first clue that this place was going to be a bit different. It’s one of those riads where the entrance is so understated you’ll probably walk past it twice (I did), but once you’re inside, the whole frantic energy of Marrakech just… stops.
The courtyard is what sold me, actually. Most riads have that central open space, obviously, but this one gets the light just right in the late afternoon – around 4 or 5 PM, when the sun hits the tiles and everything goes golden. The rooms are arranged around it in the traditional way, but they’ve managed to soundproof things properly, which honestly isn’t a given in the medina. You can hear the call to prayer from the nearby mosque (which I found oddly comforting), but you’re not dealing with the constant noise from the souks that can drive you crazy at other places. The staff – and I’m usually terrible with names, but Hassan at the front desk was incredibly helpful – they actually know the neighborhood. Like, really know it. When I asked about getting to the Saadian Tombs without going through the main tourist route, Hassan drew me a little map that cut through these tiny side streets I never would’ve found on my own.
Here’s the thing about staying here though – you’re about a 10-minute walk to Jemaa el-Fnaa, but it’s the kind of walk where you actually want to take your time. The route takes you past this little bakery (no sign, just look for the line of locals in the morning) and through a section where they sell the most incredible leather goods at prices that’ll make you question everything you thought you knew about shopping in Marrakech. The rooms themselves are comfortable without being flashy – good air conditioning, which you’ll need, and bathrooms that actually have proper water pressure. I stayed in October, which is supposed to be shoulder season, but honestly the weather was perfect and the whole medina felt more relaxed than I expected. Check-in was smooth, they had mint tea waiting (of course), and the WiFi actually worked in the room, which isn’t always guaranteed in these old buildings. The 8.9 rating makes complete sense to me – it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in Marrakech, but it gets all the important stuff right while keeping that authentic riad atmosphere intact.

Reviews of Riad Glatt K
The best way to feel Maroccan hospitality, sweet and care! – Jaqueline from Brazil – 9 July 2025 (10/10)
The Riad is wonderful! It’s beautifully decorated, and the managers and team are amazing. If you’re looking to experience the city with a delicious breakfast, a perfect dinner, and the charm of a traditional Moroccan riad, this is the place.
The small pool on the rooftop is super cozy — I didn’t use it, but it’s definitely a nice option to cool off during the intense 40°C summer days!
A special thanks to the lovely Fedra, who took care of us with such kindness and grace, and also to Fadoua, who made everything happen smoothly, even when she wasn’t physically there.
We truly felt at home. It was one of the best ways to experience how special and caring Moroccan hospitality can be. 🫶
What could be improved: Clean, beautiful, cozy, great beds, bathroom and structure even though it looks small, the rooms have space and we feel at home!Lovely Authentic Road – Darren from United Kingdom – 30 June 2025 (10/10)
Brilliant Riad. Location perfect for exploring and also for drop off from airport as can drive to the door. Lovely people. Nice welcome drink and cake. Lovely breakfast each day. Very authentic place. Would recommend a stay here. They organised our tours one to the 3 valleys Atlas mountains and another around the city half day.
Exceptional – Joanna from United Kingdom – 30 June 2025 (10/10)
We had an amazing stay at this beautiful Moroccan-style hotel in Marrakech. Everything was very clean, with a lovely and calming scent throughout the place. The atmosphere was truly authentic and full of charm.
Special thanks to Fadoua and Zahira, who made our stay unforgettable. They were always checking in on us, making sure we were comfortable and happy. Fadoua gave us a lot of helpful information about travelling in Morocco, which made a big difference during our trip. Both of them were incredibly warm, welcoming and genuinely caring.
The food was absolutely delicious — both the breakfasts and dinners were fresh, full of flavour, and beautifully presented.
It’s a magical place, but what really makes it special are all the people works there. So helpful, kind, and full of heart. We felt like home. Highly recommend! Our first Riad in Morocco and one we would definitely recommend! – Russell from Isle of Man – 25 June 2025 (9/10)

Property is lovely! It’s a bit smaller than the pictures but it’s worth every $$! It’s located a few minutes walk from the market but not in craziness of the center which we really appreciate. The manager and front desk were extremely nice, the best part of our stay!

What could be improved: Nothing I can think ofA unique hidden gem! One of the best stays we’ve ever had! – Danny from Denmark – 20 May 2025 (10/10)
Riad Glatt K is simply a unique, hidden gem in the middle of the Medina with just 6 rooms. We just loved everything about this place from the first minute we arrived! The perfect location, the beautiful, authentic interior design, and their amazing staff! Their great manager Fadoua and her team were just fantastic from start to finish. So friendly, kind and helpful. They even went above and beyond for us, planning a unique birthday lunch for my wife and I, decorating the place with flowers, balloons and even a birthday cake with candles.
Just amazing hospitality all the way through, and a stay we will never forget.

Exactly as description (although pool cannot be called a pool) – not an issue for us.
Staff were amazing from communication, airport transfers, away day to ouzoud waterfalls, meal in the Riad, cleanliness of room. All 10/10.
Breakfast lovely and nothing too much trouble. Even looking after our bags on final day.
Would highly recommend
