You know what’s brilliant about this place? It’s actually positioned right in the heart of the medina, which means you can walk to Jemaa el-Fnaa in about ten minutes — I timed it. The location score of 8.7 makes total sense when you realize you’re basically surrounded by everything that makes Marrakech special. The spice markets are practically on your doorstep, and those leather tanneries everyone talks about are just a short wander away. Sure, taxis can’t reach the door (no cars in the medina, obviously), but the riad arranges pickups from nearby accessible points, which worked out perfectly fine.

What struck me most about Riad JONCHÈRES is how it manages to feel both authentic and comfortable — not always an easy balance in these traditional houses. The architecture is classic riad style with that central courtyard and rooms opening onto it, but they’ve clearly put thought into modern comfort without losing the character. The rooftop terrace became my favorite spot, especially in the evenings when you can see the Atlas Mountains in the distance and hear the evening call to prayer echoing across the city. It’s one of those moments that reminds you exactly why you came to Morocco.

Breakfast here is something special — they offer continental, halal, and kosher options, which shows real attention to their diverse guests. I loved starting my mornings on that rooftop terrace with fresh orange juice (and I mean really fresh, probably squeezed that morning) and traditional Moroccan bread with local honey. The staff seemed genuinely happy to explain different dishes and even gave me tips on where to find the best tagines in the medina. Actually, their recommendations led me to some incredible little places I never would have discovered on my own.

Why Couples Love It

I can absolutely see why couples rate this place so highly — there’s something inherently romantic about the whole setup. The intimate scale means you’re not dealing with crowds of tourists, and those quiet courtyard evenings feel pretty magical. The staff strikes just the right balance between being helpful and giving you space, which matters when you’re trying to have those special travel moments together. Plus, being able to step out and explore the medina hand-in-hand, then retreat back to your peaceful sanctuary, creates this perfect rhythm for a romantic getaway. It’s the kind of place that makes you feel like you’re experiencing the real Marrakech, not just visiting it.

  Un merveilleux séjour dans ce Riad d’exception ! Dès notre arrivée à l’aéroport, tout était parfaitement orchestré grâce à un transfert sans faille qui nous a permis de commencer notre voyage en toute sérénité. Une fois sur place, nous avons été charmés par la beauté du lieu : une décoration raffinée, authentique et pleine de charme. Chaque matin, le petit-déjeuner était un vrai plaisir : généreux, varié et savoureux. Nous avons également eu le bonheur de dîner à plusieurs reprises sur place, et chaque repas fut un délice, mettant à l’honneur des produits frais et des saveurs locales. Un immense merci à Sana, dont la gentillesse, le sourire et la disponibilité ont marqué notre séjour. Nous recommandons ce Riad sans la moindre hésitation et espérons y revenir très prochainement !

  Un séjour juste incroyable ! Dès l’aéroport, tout était fluide et super bien organisé. Le Riad est un petit paradis : chaque détail est soigné, l’ambiance est magique. Gros coup de cœur pour les petits-déjeuners ultra gourmands et les repas maison qui étaient un vrai festival de saveurs ! Une équipe adorable, aux petits soins. Impossible de rêver mieux : on repart avec des souvenirs merveilleux et déjà l’envie de revenir ! Merci pour tout !

  Un souvenir inoubliable dans ce Riad de rêve ! Dès notre arrivée à l'aéroport tout était traitement organisé avec un transfert rapide et agréable. Le Riad est encore plus magnifique en vrai : une décoration sublime, une atmosphère paisible et un accueil incroyablement chaleureux. Chaque matin, nous avons eu droit à un petit-déjeuner délicieux, varié et ultra copieux. Un vrai bonheur pour bien commencer la journée. Les repas du soir étaient tout simplement exquis, préparés avec des produits frais et beaucoup d'amour. Toute l'équipe a été aux petits soins pour nous, toujours souriante et disponible. Nous repartons avec des étoiles plein les yeux et une seule envie : revenir très vite ! Un immense merci pour cette expérience exceptionnelle !
