You know what struck me first about Riad Kechin? The location is absolutely perfect – and I mean that in the most practical sense. It’s right on Route des Remparts, which honestly sounds busier than it actually is. You’re literally a five-minute walk from Jemaa el-Fnaa, but far enough away that you won’t hear the snake charmers and drum circles at 2 AM (trust me on this one). The taxi drivers all know exactly where it is, which is half the battle in Marrakech.

The riad itself is one of those places that just gets everything right. The moment you step through that heavy wooden door – and they all have those iconic doors, but this one’s particularly gorgeous – you’re hit with this immediate sense of calm. The central courtyard has that classic fountain setup, and I actually found myself hanging out there way more than I expected. The staff, honestly, they’re incredible. Not in that fake, over-the-top way, but genuinely helpful. They sorted out my day trips to the Atlas Mountains without any hassle, and when I mentioned wanting to find decent couscous that wasn’t touristy, they pointed me toward this little spot near Bab Doukkala that I never would’ve found otherwise.

What really sets this place apart though is the attention to detail – the kind of stuff you only notice when you’re actually living there for a few days. The rooms are properly quiet (important when you’re trying to recover from those late medina wanderings), the water pressure is solid, and the breakfast spread is legitimately good. I mean, fresh orange juice in Morocco hits different anyway, but they do it right. The rooftop terrace is where you’ll want to spend your evenings – you can see the Koutoubia Mosque and catch those famous Marrakech sunsets without fighting crowds. During Ramadan, I could hear the call to prayer perfectly from up there, which was actually pretty special. The pool area is small but functional, and after a day of navigating the souks in 40-degree heat, that’s all you really need. One thing I appreciated – they don’t blast music or try to create some artificial vibe. It just feels authentically Moroccan without being a caricature of itself, if that makes sense.

  A fantastic stay in an exceptional place! This accommodation is perfectly located just a few minutes from the famous Jemaa el-Fna square. The riyadh is spotless, beautifully decorated, and offers a peaceful retreat from the bustling city.
  
  Our host Younsse was incredibly kind and attentive, with thoughtful touches that made us feel truly welcome. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, ensuring restful nights throughout our stay.
  
  We highly recommend this place and would love to stay here again on our next visit to Marrakech!

  Un séjour inoubliable dans un cadre exceptionnel ! Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour dans ce logement idéalement situé, à quelques minutes seulement de la célèbre place Jemaa el-Fna. Le Riad est d’une propreté irréprochable, décoré avec beaucoup de goût et d’élégance, ce qui nous a tout de suite plongés dans l’ambiance envoûtante de Marrakech. Le calme de la résidence est un vrai plus, offrant un havre de paix après une journée animée dans la médina.
  
  Un immense merci à notre hôte Younsse, dont l’amabilité et la bienveillance ont rendu notre séjour encore plus agréable. Ses petites attentions, telles que (une corbeille de fruits, des conseils avisés…) ont été particulièrement appréciées par toute la famille.
  
  Mention spéciale pour la literie d’une qualité exceptionnelle, qui nous a permis de nous reposer parfaitement chaque nuit. Nous recommandons ce logement sans hésitation et espérons y revenir lors de notre prochain voyage à Marrakech !

  Het is een prachtig huis. Heel mooi en stijlvol ingericht op een rustige plek binnen Marrakesh. De host in ontzettend behulpzaam en vriendelijk. Hij ons na ons verblijf ook nog geholpen met dingen en we zijn hem erg dankbaar. Een top locatie waar je langer dan 1 nacht wil verblijven.
