Riad Le Limoun and Spa Overview
Look, I’ll be honest – I was skeptical about staying in another riad in Marrakech because, well, you’ve seen one traditional courtyard and you think you’ve seen them all. But Riad Le Limoun actually surprised me from the moment I squeezed through that narrow entrance on Derb Sidi Lahcen Ouest Ali (seriously, the taxi driver had to drop us at the main street because these medina alleys are basically medieval – bring good walking shoes). The first thing that hit me wasn’t the usual tourist-trap vibe, but this incredible scent of orange blossoms mixed with that distinctive tadelakt lime plaster smell that somehow makes you feel like you’re stepping into old Morocco, not a Instagram set. The owner, Mohammed, met us personally at check-in and actually knew the neighborhood stories – like how this particular derb used to be where the leather workers lived, which explains why you’ll catch hints of that earthy, crafted leather smell when the wind shifts just right.
What really sets this place apart from the dozens of other riads I’ve crashed at is the spa situation. I mean, most riads throw in a hammam and call it a day, but these guys have this whole wellness thing figured out. The massage therapist – I think her name was Fatima – knew exactly how to work out those knots you get from navigating cobblestones all day, and the treatment rooms are tucked away so you don’t hear the usual medina chaos (though honestly, I kind of love falling asleep to the call to prayer echoing off the walls). The rooftop terrace is where you’ll want to spend your evenings – you can see the Koutoubia minaret lit up at night, and during the day you get this perfect view of the Atlas Mountains when the haze clears. Pro tip: grab your morning coffee up there around 7 AM before the heat kicks in and the sounds of the souk start drifting over.
The rooms themselves feel authentically Moroccan without being over-the-top themed – think hand-carved cedar details and those gorgeous geometric tile patterns, but with modern bathrooms that actually have decent water pressure (trust me, this matters after a day of wandering through the souks). You’re maybe a 10-minute walk from Jemaa el-Fnaa, which is perfect because you can easily duck back for a mid-day break when the square gets overwhelming, but you’re far enough away that you won’t be kept awake by the late-night drummers and storytellers. The staff genuinely seems to care about making your stay work – they helped us figure out which hammam in the neighborhood was worth visiting (skip the touristy ones near the main square) and even arranged a driver who didn’t try to take us to his cousin’s carpet shop. With a 9.4 rating, you’d expect it to be good, but honestly, it’s one of those places where you understand why people keep coming back to Marrakech.

Reviews of Riad Le Limoun and Spa
very friendly, great locations, and homey. – Charline from United Kingdom – 7 July 2025 (9/10)
The room is spacious, clean, and well designed. I love the style and the taste of the interior design and selected fabrics. The staff is very friendly and supportive. The breakfast is excellent. Every morning has a different and nice surprise. The lamb stew is really yummy.
What could be improved: Perhaps because of the hot season and the room on the top floor, the air conditioning is not strong enough and the bed was very hot and it is difficult to fall sleep well.Gorgeous place – Stella from United Kingdom – 30 June 2025 (10/10)
Staff amazing : bed super comfortable – breakfast really tasty
What could be improved: Pool was fine on your own but too small if another couple wanting to share itExcelent – Catarina from Portugal – 21 June 2025 (10/10)
The staff was impecable at all times. Super nice, it really was a great experience.
Great place to stay – Caner from Netherlands – 9 June 2025 (10/10)
The service was exceptional — they were always there to help and really went out of their way to make everything perfect for you. The location was also great, with a beautiful view of the rooftop terrace, and the breakfast was absolutely delicious!
What could be improved: The rooftop terraces can get quite hot when the sun is shining due to limited shade, but they're perfect for early mornings and late eveningsExceptional – Georgia from United Kingdom – 21 May 2025 (10/10)
A beautiful chilled out oasis in a great location. Fantastic staff and breakfast.

What could be improved: Slightly long walk from Main StreetBeautiful riad in the heart of the city – Anestis from Greece – 28 April 2025 (10/10)
Beautiful riad in the heart of the city. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Everyone was polite and willing to help. Location is in the edge of the souk , parking was easy nearby (200-400m)
What could be improved: I wouldn’t consider it as a spa , facilities for that are really minimal . Breakfast was good but some pastries not for our liking.A great overnight stay with staff who are attentive and make you feel safe and cater to every need. – Rebecca from United Kingdom – 22 April 2025 (10/10)
Clean, well set up, attention to detail and staff are amazing!
What could be improved: Do not use Apple Maps, it will not take you to the right place, but this is typical of all riads in Marrakesh. Make sure to use Google maps!
