Riad Les Trois Mages Overview
First Impressions
Walking through the narrow alleyways of the medina to find Riad Les Trois Mages feels like a treasure hunt — and honestly, that’s part of the charm. The moment you step through the heavy wooden door, you’re transported from the bustling chaos of Derb Jamaa into this serene courtyard oasis. I mean, the contrast is almost jarring in the best possible way. The traditional architecture here is the real deal, with intricate tilework and carved plasterwork that you can tell has been lovingly maintained over the years.
Location & Getting Around
You know what’s brilliant about this place? It’s actually positioned right in the heart of the medina, which means you’re walking distance from everything that matters — Jemaa el-Fnaa square, the souks, all those little hidden gems that make Marrakech special. The location score of 9.4 isn’t just a number; when you’re staying here, you realize you can duck back for a midday rest between exploring sessions, which is honestly a lifesaver in the Moroccan heat. Couples seem to get this particularly well (they rate the location 9.5), probably because there’s something romantic about having your own private retreat right in the middle of all that medina energy.
The Riad Experience
What strikes me most about Riad Les Trois Mages is how it manages to feel both authentic and comfortable without trying too hard. The rooms wrap around that central courtyard in classic riad style, and there’s this wonderful sense of calm that settles over you once you’re inside. The staff here actually know the neighborhood — they’ll give you directions that locals would give, not just the tourist route. It’s one of those places where you feel like you’re staying in someone’s beautifully restored family home rather than a hotel, if that makes sense.
Morning Rituals
Breakfast here is something I’d actually look forward to each morning. They’ve got vegetarian options sorted, which isn’t always a given in Morocco, and the setting — usually served in that gorgeous courtyard — makes even simple bread and jam feel special. There’s something about starting your day surrounded by those traditional tiles and maybe catching some morning light filtering down that just sets the right tone. You’ll probably find yourself lingering over mint tea longer than planned, but honestly, that’s exactly what you should be doing.
Why Guests Love It
That 9.7 rating tells the real story here — this isn’t just about the beautiful setting or the prime location, though both are exceptional. It’s about how Riad Les Trois Mages gives you an authentic slice of Marrakech life while still taking care of all those little details that matter when you’re traveling. You get the full medina experience — the sounds, the atmosphere, the sense of being somewhere truly different — but you also get a peaceful retreat to return to. For anyone wanting to really experience Marrakech rather than just visit it, this place delivers in a way that feels both genuine and memorable.
Marrakech hotels keep guests close to Bahia Palace, Jardin Majorelle, and spice-scented souks.

Reviews of Riad Les Trois Mages
A luxurious haven in the middle of the hustle and bustle. – Sarah from Luxembourg – 22 June 2025 (10/10)
We enjoyed our stay at Riad les Trois Mages. Aziz was an extremely friendly, generous and communicative host and he keeps the Riad perfectly with exceptional taste.
What could be improved: The property is in the Medina neighborhood of Marrakesh. It is very well situated to explore some of the key sites, but in future we might choose to stay in a more residential neighborhood, especially as female travelers. That being said inside the Riad itself was completely peaceful.Beautiful relaxing Riad. Aziz and his staff were so welcoming and couldn’t do enough through out our stay. Would recomme – Briony from United Kingdom – 22 June 2025 (10/10)
Beautiful riad in centre of Marrakesh. Perfect walking distance to suks. The roof top balcony was beautiful.
What could be improved: Nothing loved itExceptional – Thea from Norway – 24 May 2025 (10/10)
Very clean and such friendly staff! Also, it was very central, as everything we wanted to see during our 4 days in Marrakech was within a 30-minute walk. Highly recommend.
Exceptional – Iris from Ireland – 22 May 2025 (10/10)
Aziz manager was a gentleman went above and beyond to help in any way he could .
A perfect riad! – Andrew from United Kingdom – 10 May 2025 (10/10)
An incredible riad! It was beautifully designed, super clean, quiet, and relaxing, mixing traditional design with modern comfort. Beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were clean and well-functioning. The terrasse was a lovely place to have breakfast, swim, and relax. The staff made it really amazing – Aziz was incredibly thoughtful, waking up to give us hot coffee and bread at 5am before our balloon ride. We asked for bananas one morning at breakfast and he ran out to buy some, and they appeared as part of our (very well stocked) breakfasts every morning! Bonus was the incredibly cute kittens in the street outside
Great stay, lovely Riad, great staff – Andrew from United Kingdom – 29 April 2025 (10/10)
Staff were excellent; breakfast, facilities etc were all great
What could be improved: Unfortunately there was a mix up with the main room as description said there were two beds (only one), luckily there was a spare room in the Riad that we were able to haveHard to believe this is only a 3 star riad because it felt like a 5 star boutique escape. – Lachlan from Austria – 10 April 2025 (10/10)
Hard to believe this is only a 3 star riad because it felt like a 5 star boutique escape. The vibe is chill and beautiful, the rooftop pool is pure magic, and the mint tea never stops flowing. We spent hours up there soaking in the sun, dipping in the pool, and just enjoying the peaceful views.
The staff were amazing, so kind and genuinely helpful with everything from dinner tips to airport rides. Our room was stylish and super comfortable, and breakfast each morning was fresh and delicious.
This place is a hidden gem in Marrakech.Exceptional – Stephanie from United States – 8 April 2025 (10/10)
Beautiful property, lovely and clean room
(Luxurious bath towels) and great food. Aziz and his staff were the best. He made spa reservations for us and also procured train tickets for us. A wonderful stay.Exceptional – Stephanie from United States – 6 April 2025 (10/10)
The staff is super friendly. Breakfasts were good with lots of choices and at whatever time we wanted. Our laundry was down free of charge. The pool deck was comfortable. The towels in the rooms were luxurious! Aziz helped us to book a massage near by and he booked train tickets for us. It was comfortable and nicely decorated. We would highly recommend the Riad.
