This place sits right in the heart of the medina, and I actually mean the real medina, not some tourist-friendly edge where everything’s sanitized for visitors.

Getting there is part of the adventure, honestly. The narrow alleyways can feel like a maze at first, but the riad’s location is actually perfect once you understand the medina’s rhythm. You’re close enough to Jemaa el-Fnaa that you can wander over for the evening chaos and food stalls, but far enough away that you won’t hear the snake charmers at dawn (trust me on this one). The 4-star rating feels right – it’s got that traditional riad charm with the central courtyard and those gorgeous tiled walls, but they’ve upgraded the important stuff like wifi and hot water pressure. I was pleasantly surprised by how quiet it gets at night, considering you’re literally surrounded by the medina’s daily hustle.

What really sets this place apart is the staff’s local knowledge – they don’t just give you the standard tourist recommendations. When I mentioned wanting to find decent leather goods, they pointed me toward a workshop three streets over where I actually watched craftsmen at work, not some overpriced tourist trap. The breakfast setup in the courtyard is lovely too, though it gets pretty warm by 9 AM in summer, so grab your coffee early. The 9.1 rating makes sense when you consider the whole package – sure, the rooms aren’t massive (it’s a traditional riad, after all), and the stairs can be a bit steep if you’re hauling heavy luggage, but there’s something authentic about staying here that the big hotels just can’t replicate. You’ll fall asleep to the distant sounds of the medina settling down for the night, and wake up to the call to prayer echoing off ancient walls – it’s Morocco exactly as you’d hope to experience it.

  Very small room in very atmospheric riad. Beautiful view from the roof terrace. Well located. Jamaa el fna within walking distance. Nearby parking 70dh/per day.

  We enjoyed our stay very very much. The staff were all very friendly and helpful to us. Anytime we had a question they did the utmost to answer in the most helpful way possible. We always felt safe walking to and from the riad. We loved the way the front of the riad door had two pots with trees planted in them and we knew we were home away from home. We did find the bed was very comfortable to sleep in and the air conditioner/heat, worked well to keep us comfortable. Ibrahim and Fatima were key to help us answer our questions and the other staff were very helpful in creating delicious breakfasts. I even had lunch there and an afternoon snack. Someone is always there on the property, if there would be any questions or issues.
  
  What could be improved: I really can't think of anything that we did not like! At breakfast, we enjoyed several mornings eating at the same time another couple was and enjoyed our discussions and laughter together.

  Ibrahim was really kind and helpful. All the staff were extremely polite and welcoming. Ibrahim even made us breakfast at 5.00 am and walked us to our pick up point. The roof terrace was a nice place to relax. It was really easy to walk anywhere. We could also book pedicures, manicures and massages at the hotel and professionals came to the hotel. The hotel can help you organise any trips, although we often found great trips on Booking.com. I would highly recommend this place.

  We had a wonderful stay. The riad was very close to all the cultural sites. Our host and her team were fantastic. They served us mint tea on our arrival and really looked after us during our stay, even providing us with hot water for tea when we returned from our excursions.
