RIAD MARRAKECH DOORS Overview
You know what struck me first about Riad Marrakech Doors? It’s tucked away on this narrow street in the medina where most tourists never venture – Rue Kennaria, right off Derb Laadam. I mean, you’ll probably get lost finding it the first time (I definitely did), but that’s actually part of the charm. The GPS gets confused in these old alleyways, so just follow the landmark directions they email you and trust the process.
The riad itself is honestly one of those places that makes you feel like you’ve stumbled onto a movie set. Two traditional houses – numbers 26 and 27 – that have been connected and restored with this incredible attention to detail. The courtyard is the real showstopper here, with these hand-carved pillars and tilework that catches the light differently throughout the day. Early morning is magical, but honestly, late afternoon when the sun hits the fountain just right? That’s when you’ll understand why people fall in love with Marrakech. The rooms are spacious by medina standards – and I’ve stayed in plenty of riads where you can barely open your suitcase – with traditional touches that feel authentic rather than touristy. The staff actually remembers your name and your coffee preferences, which sounds small but makes such a difference when you’re navigating the sensory overload of the medina all day.
What really sets this place apart is how it sits in the neighborhood. You’re close enough to Jemaa el-Fnaa that you can walk there in about ten minutes, but far enough away that you don’t hear the drum circles until 2 AM. The nearby souks are less touristy too – there’s this little spice vendor around the corner who’ll spend twenty minutes explaining different ras el hanout blends if you show genuine interest. The riad’s location means you get to experience authentic medina life (morning calls to prayer, kids playing in the streets, the bread delivery guy on his motorbike) without feeling like you’re intruding. Check-in is smooth once you actually find the place, and they’re really good about arranging airport transfers – trust me, you want that service because explaining this address to a taxi driver can be… well, let’s just say it’s character-building. The rooftop terrace is perfect for evening mint tea, and the 9.1 rating absolutely reflects the experience you’ll have here. It’s not the fanciest riad in Marrakech, but it’s got this genuine warmth and attention to detail that makes it feel like staying with friends who happen to live in a gorgeous 18th-century mansion.

Reviews of RIAD MARRAKECH DOORS
Very good – Anne from Australia – 23 May 2025 (8/10)
Riad Marrakech Doors is a small Riad in the heart of the Medina. Mohcine and Wafae were happy, joyful hosts.
Totally recommend! – Cristina from Romania – 28 March 2025 (10/10)
We stayed for 4 nights at this riad and for us was simply perfect!
The location is extremely good, 3-4 minutes away from the main square, Jemaa el-Fnaa. Very close to the busy streets, but so quiet and peaceful once inside the riad.
The owner, all family members and those who are working there are very welcoming and polite. We had delicious breakfast on the terrace, with eggs and a variety of Moroccan pancakes, juices and desserts, tea and coffee each day.
The room size could be a bit small for some, however it is according to a traditional riad. It was cleaned each day and towels changed.
We definitely recommend this location!

Where do I even begin? This Riad is tucked away on a quiet side street just off the main souk. Somehow, once inside, it feels incredibly peaceful—you hear none of the noise and chaos from outside.
From the moment we arrived, the owner, Hisham, was there to welcome us, treating us like family. His service is truly unmatched. Breakfast was beautifully prepared by the lovely lady in the kitchen, who was always warm and friendly, and her cooking was fantastic. A special shoutout to Mohsin, who we interacted with the most—his constant smile and helpful nature made everything effortless. The staff’s attention to detail and personal touches really stood out.
I traveled with my family, and not one of us had a single complaint. After reading the glowing reviews before our visit, it became clear why this place consistently receives five-star ratings.
The Riad’s location is perfect—most major tourist spots are within a 15-minute walk. Navigating through the souks with Google Maps was easy, even with a pram. The main square is just a three-minute walk away, surrounded by plenty of food and shopping options to keep you entertained.
If I return to Marrakech, I will absolutely stay here again—there’s nothing I would change!Exceptional – Samantha from United States – 24 February 2025 (10/10)
Hicham was a fantastic host. He gave us great information on the area and things to see. One morning at breakfast we decided we wanted massages and Hicham had it organized and a masseuse on sight 90 minutes later. The breakfast was wonderful and good variety. The location was right by the square so easy to get around. Would absolutely recommend to any of my friends to stay here.

Our experience at RIAD MARRAKECH DOORS was simply wonderful! The riad offers an authentic and very cozy atmosphere that perfectly reflects the culture of Marrakech. The location is absolutely ideal – the hotel is situated right in the heart of the market area, where everything is within reach: from traditional souvenirs and spices to local cafes and restaurants. The inner courtyard of the riad is like a small oasis where you can escape the bustling market and enjoy a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The rooms are tastefully decorated, exceptionally clean, and designed with great attention to detail, making the stay especially comfortable. The staff was outstandingly kind and helpful, always ready to assist with recommendations and practical advice.

Beautiful and calming property. The staff is AMAZING. Hicham and everyone were so accommodating making sure I had everything I needed. My room was refreshed each day which was very nice. Oh the bed was very very comfortable!! One of the best parts is that I booked a massage on my last day and it was PERFECT. Although it was in the salon, it was still very nice and the massage therapist was highly skilled. I have had massages all over the world and she was definitely top 5. Very nurturing and catering touch. Thank you so much for wonderful stay!
What could be improved: My room was a little smaller than expected but it was just fine.Exceptional – Özge from Turkey – 30 September 2024 (10/10)
We were very satisfied with our stay. The owner and staff were very friendly, and helpful. The location was perfect, just a 3-minute walk from the square. We did not experience any security issues in the area. The rooms were spotless.
The breakfast was excellent. I would definitely recommend for accommodation.
