RIAD Miel & Une Nuit Overview
You know what struck me first about RIAD Miel & Une Nuit? The name actually makes sense once you’re there – it really does feel like a sweet escape for just one perfect night (though honestly, you’ll want to stay longer). Tucked away at 35 derb ABDA in the Kasbah, this place gets the location thing right in a way that most riads don’t. I mean, you’re literally walking distance from the Saadian Tombs and El Badi Palace, but – and this is huge – you’re not dealing with the madness of the main medina. The narrow derb leading to it is quiet enough that you can actually hear yourself think, which is saying something in Marrakech.
The riad itself has that authentic feel without being too precious about it. The central courtyard is gorgeous, obviously, but what I really appreciated was how they’ve managed to keep the traditional architecture while making everything actually functional for modern travelers. The rooms are solid – not massive, but thoughtfully designed with proper storage and decent lighting for getting ready (you’d be surprised how many riads fail at this basic stuff). The 4-star rating feels about right; it’s not trying to be a luxury palace, just a really well-run place that knows what it’s doing. Air conditioning works properly, which in Marrakech is basically non-negotiable, and the Wi-Fi is strong enough to upload photos without losing your mind.
What really sets this place apart though is the staff’s approach – they’re helpful without being pushy, and they actually seem to know the neighborhood beyond just the tourist spots. When I asked about finding good street food nearby, they pointed me toward this little cart near Bab Agnaou that I never would have found otherwise. The breakfast spread is decent, not elaborate but fresh, and they serve it in the courtyard when the weather’s nice. One small thing – the hot water takes a minute to get going in the mornings, but that’s pretty standard for riads and hardly a dealbreaker. The 8.7 rating makes sense to me; it’s the kind of place where everything works like it should, the location gives you easy access to both tourist sites and local life, and you’re not paying premium prices for unnecessary frills. If you’re looking for a base in Marrakech that feels authentic but won’t stress you out with logistics, this is a solid choice.

Bedroom was very nice and comfortable. The staff was so lovely and kind. We had a late flight the day we checked out and they stored our luggage, allowed us to rest in the common areas and served us coffee/tea with biscuits. They were very attentive. Breakfast was also fantastic!

Location, personal and the house itself. Almost perfect place.
What could be improved: It is a challenge to park the car near due to narrow streets, but the hosts are glad to help you with parkingGreat stay, clean and nice people – Samantha from United States – 16 January 2025 (9/10)
Staff was very nice and accommodating to let us leave our bags after checking out. Although they didn’t speak much English, they were very sweet. Breakfast was a nice spread. The room was comfortable enough for 4 people. Roof deck is great at night or for sunset or sunrise!
Location is a bit outside the busy part of the medina but still close by.
What could be improved: Bathroom gets quite wet and smelled a bit weird but everything was clean.Very nice for the price in a not very loud part of medina. – Alexandra from Germany – 3 January 2025 (10/10)
The Riad was very clean and nicely located (bit hard to find though), super friendly personell (we even got some moroccan local snacks and tea for free) and could leave our luggage there for one nicht out of town. There are also two lovely cats that come there from time to time to have food (absolutely not disturbing the customers)
What could be improved: The entrance was not distinct and therefore a bit challenging to find but no big deal.Superb – Elisabeth from Austria – 3 January 2025 (9/10)
Nice and small Riad in the Medina of Marrakesch.
Exceptional – Dola from Sweden – 27 December 2024 (10/10)
The family was very charming. At the beginning I was a bit nervous about the communication as we only speak English. But they are so helpful that the communication became easier. The room looked exactly like the pictures. Everything was clean. I did not expect room service, but they cleaned the room and changed sheets and towels. We were melted by their warmth of heart! We checked out very early so we did not want breakfast, still they packed us food and orange juice and kept it in the fridge. I loved my stay there and highly recommend this place
