Riad Miralezia Overview

Look, I’ve stayed at my fair share of riads in Marrakech, and honestly? Riad Miralezia just gets it right in a way that’s hard to put into words. It’s tucked along Route des Remparts – which, if you know the city at all, means you’re literally steps from the medina walls but far enough from the Jemaa el-Fnaa chaos that you can actually sleep at night. The first time I walked through those heavy wooden doors, I mean, you immediately feel that temperature drop and hear the fountain echoing off the courtyard walls. It’s that classic riad magic, but without feeling like you’re staying in a museum.

What really sold me on this place – and I’m picky about these things – is how they’ve managed to keep the authentic Moroccan character while actually making everything work for modern travelers. The rooms have proper air conditioning (trust me, you’ll need it in summer), the wifi doesn’t cut out every five minutes, and the bathrooms are genuinely beautiful with those handmade zellige tiles that catch the light just right. The rooftop terrace is where you’ll probably spend your evenings, honestly. You can see clear across to the Atlas Mountains on a good day, and the staff will bring up mint tea without you even asking. I’ve watched the sunset from up there more times than I can count, and it never gets old.

The location is actually perfect if you want to explore but also escape – you’re about a ten-minute walk to Bahia Palace through some of the quieter souks, and the taxi drivers all know Route des Remparts so you won’t have that awkward “where exactly are we going” conversation. The team there, particularly Ahmed at the front desk, knows everything about the city and will steer you toward the good couscous spots that aren’t tourist traps. They’ve got this way of making recommendations that feel personal rather than rehearsed, you know? And honestly, after dealing with some pretty impersonal hotel experiences elsewhere, that 9.4 rating makes complete sense to me. It’s not just the gorgeous architecture or the perfect location – though those certainly don’t hurt – it’s that they’ve figured out how to make you feel like you’re staying somewhere special without all the pretentious fussiness that can come with boutique places.

What could be improved: Le seul petit côté négatif c’est la piscine qui est un peu excentrée

  • Exceptional – Elisabeth from France – 27 May 2025 (10/10)

  • Exceptional – Daniela from Italy – 6 May 2025 (10/10)

Ottimo soggiorno. Posizione strategica. Tutto ben organizzato. La colazione preparata da Naima tutte le mattine è stata ottima. Consiglio vivamente questo Riad sia per coppie che per gruppo di amici.

  • Lovely Riad – Masa from Spain – 29 April 2025 (9/10)

The house was really big and spacious, it was clean and they recived us well. It was a really special house with a good vibe

What could be improved: A bit noisy at night, and the top floor bed is not very comfy . But it didn’t bother us so much we would be back

  • Muy Recomendable – Pedro from Spain – 28 April 2025 (10/10)

Excelente en cuanto a limpieza, habitaciones cómodas con armarios y baños privados. Estuvimos en una estancia corta pero salimos encantados

  • Superb – Ar from United Kingdom – 26 April 2025 (9/10)

Loved this Riad. Felt enormous with 3 good sized double rooms and lots of family seating area. Roof top terrace as well. Basic cooking facilities but several decent restaurants on site. A bit out from the city centre but this is reflected in the price and 30 mins walk or quick taxis (use indrive app) into city centre. Highly recommended.

What could be improved: Apartment was terrific.

  • Very good – Linda from Sweden – 19 February 2025 (8/10)

Clean and very appropriate for us who were three coupes travelling.

  • 5 stars. – Sinead from Ireland – 2 November 2024 (10/10)

Our Riad was so clean. Anything we needed was provided to us.

What could be improved: Kitchen could do with a little update but otherwise lovely Riad.
