Riad N’S & Spa Overview

Look, I’ve stayed at my fair share of riads in Marrakech, and honestly? Most of them are either tourist traps or gorgeous Instagram bait that falls apart when you actually need to live there for a few days. Riad N’S & Spa is different – it’s one of those places that somehow nails the whole “authentic riad experience” without making you feel like you’re roughing it or getting ripped off.

The location is pretty perfect if you know Marrakech at all. It’s tucked away on Derb Ouayhah in the Sidi Abdelaziz neighborhood, which means you’re deep enough in the medina to feel like you’re actually in Morocco (not some sanitized resort bubble), but you’re not so far from Jemaa el-Fnaa that getting back after dinner becomes this whole expedition. I mean, it’s still the medina, so you’ll definitely get lost at least once trying to find it – but that’s half the fun, right? The narrow alleyways around there are actually some of the prettier ones I’ve wandered through, with less of the aggressive hustling you get closer to the main squares.

What really struck me about this place is how they’ve managed to keep that traditional riad feel – you know, the whole central courtyard thing with the fountain and the rooms opening onto these gorgeous tiled corridors – while actually making everything work properly. The spa (which, honestly, I was skeptical about at first) is legitimately relaxing, not just some afterthought they threw in to justify charging more. And the staff… well, let’s just say they seem to actually care about whether you’re having a good time, which isn’t always a given in five-star places. They helped me sort out a mess with a day trip booking that wasn’t even their responsibility, and when I mentioned I was having trouble finding decent coffee in the mornings, they started making sure there was always a fresh pot ready by 7 AM.

The rooms themselves are what you’d expect from a proper riad – lots of carved wood, beautiful tiles, that whole Moroccan aesthetic – but with modern touches that actually make sense. Good water pressure, reliable wifi, air conditioning that works when you need it. I stayed during one of those brutal April heat waves, and while you could hear the call to prayer from the nearby mosque (which I loved, but heads up if you’re a light sleeper), the rooms stayed cool and quiet. The rooftop terrace is where you’ll want to spend your evenings though – great views over the medina, and it catches this amazing breeze that makes even the hottest days bearable. Plus, watching the sunset over those red clay rooftops while sipping mint tea? That’s the kind of moment that makes you understand why people fall in love with this city. It’s not cheap, but for what you get – and especially considering how hit-or-miss accommodation can be in the medina – it’s actually pretty solid value.

    What could be improved: Nothing

  • Highly recommend, is an amazing Moroccan experience – Alina from Romania – 20 June 2025 (9/10)

The Riad was amazing, we loved the vibe, the staff, the confort of the room. The staff was so nice and helped us a lot. We had some trips booked early in the morning and they were so kind and prepared a take-away breakfast for us two days in a raw. The breakfast itself was so good, with traditional bread and all kinds of homemade goodies that was served on the rooftop terrace.
Also, we needed to use the laundry and even if they didn't had this in-house option, they sent out articles with the towels and bedsheets and we got them back the day after, nice and clean and for a very small price.
Quite close to the Riad, few minutes walk is an Exchange office that could be useful if you want to change the currency and has a good exchange rate.

What could be improved: The Riad is in Medina so the cars like taxis cannot drive right in front of a hotel, so you need to have like a 5-10 minutes walk. Also, for some people might seem complicated to find it, since the entire Medina is a maze, but we didn't find it so challenging. However, all the pick-up points and taxis are outside Medina, so you need to plan extra time to get there.

  • Lovely relaxing break in Marrakech, with amazing facilities in the Riad – Priya from United Kingdom – 8 June 2025 (10/10)

Lovely customer service, riad was very relaxing, breakfast options were great!

    What could be improved: nothing!

  • A Peaceful, Beautiful Stay with Heartfelt Hospitality – Naomie from Ireland – 29 May 2025 (10/10)

The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, constantly checking in to make sure we were happy — it honestly felt like being hosted by close friends. The atmosphere is so peaceful and serene, perfect for unwinding after the chaos of Marrakech’s medina. Everything is aesthetically stunning, from the decor to the little design touches, making it feel like a true escape. The owner is genuinely kind and adds such a warm, personal vibe to the experience.

What could be improved: There was nothing to dislike !

  • Amazing place with an amazing location – Mohamed from Germany – 20 May 2025 (10/10)

Amazing Riad. Amazing breakfast. Staff especially Yousef were helpful and friendly. Central location.

Just a note: if you arrive to Marrakesh late, book their taxi to pick you up because you will not be able to arrive on your own using google maps. We arrived at 1 am with a taxi from the airport and no one was answering the phone so we had to pay a guy 10€ to walk us there. So save yourself the money and the stress and book a taxi with them.

  • Exceptional – David from United Kingdom – 19 May 2025 (10/10)

Staff were very friendly. Beautiful space.

What could be improved: Slightly limited breakfast options.

  • 3 Day Break – Callum from United Kingdom – 14 May 2025 (9/10)

Beautiful building and right in the Medina. The staff were amazing and couldn't do enough to help. Good breakfast included that you can enjoy from the rooftop. We didn't find it hard to find, down some alleyways but just look for the signs on the wall. Great location for dipping in and out of the souls.
