The Eden Palm area is where a lot of locals have their weekend places, so you’re not drowning in tour groups but you’re also not stranded in the middle of nowhere. The riad itself sits behind these massive palm trees (hence the name), and I mean, the moment you walk through that heavy wooden door, it’s like someone just hit the mute button on Marrakech.

The private pool is the real star here – and I’m not just saying that because I spent probably too much time floating around in it. It’s not huge, but it’s perfectly positioned in the central courtyard with these gorgeous zellige tiles that catch the light just right in the late afternoon. The hammam experience was something else entirely; they actually know what they’re doing, not like some of those touristy places in the medina where they rush you through. I went in the early evening when the temperature starts to drop, and honestly, it felt like I melted into the marble. The staff member who guided me through it spoke perfect French and English, which was a relief because I definitely needed the full explanation of what was happening.

You know what really got me though? The little details that make you realize this place gets it. The breakfast arrives when you actually want it, not at some predetermined hotel time. The rooms have proper blackout curtains – crucial when you’re trying to recover from a late night in Gueliz. And the Wi-Fi actually works everywhere, which sounds basic but trust me, it’s not always a given in riads. The location means you’ll need a taxi or rental car to get into the old city (about 15-20 minutes depending on traffic), but there’s something really nice about coming back to this quiet oasis after a day of navigating the souks. The nearby Palmeraie Golf Palace is walkable if you’re into that, and there are a few decent restaurants within a short drive. I mean, with a 9.5 rating, I was expecting it to be good, but this place actually delivers on the hype – it’s got that authentic Moroccan architecture and design without feeling like you’re staying in a museum. The staff strikes that perfect balance of being helpful without hovering, and they genuinely seem to enjoy sharing recommendations about their city.
