While everyone else is fighting for space in the main medina, you’re staying in this quieter corner where you can actually hear yourself think. The riad itself is one of those places that immediately makes you slow down—there’s something about the way the light filters through the central courtyard that just… I don’t know, it works. The 4-star rating feels right; it’s polished without being stuffy, and the 8.6 guest rating makes perfect sense once you’ve spent a night there.

What really got me was how the staff seemed to know exactly when to appear and when to give you space. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward (no hovering or upselling), and they actually gave useful directions to places—not just the obvious tourist spots but practical stuff like where to grab good coffee early in the morning or which entrance to use when coming back from Jemaa el-Fnaa after dark. The rooms have that traditional Moroccan vibe without feeling like you’re sleeping in a museum, and the beds are actually comfortable, which honestly isn’t always a given in riads. The bathroom situation is solid too—good water pressure and proper hot water, which matters more than you’d think after a long day wandering around Marrakech’s dusty streets.

I mean, location-wise, you’re perfectly positioned to explore the Kasbah without being right in the chaos of the main square. The Saadian Tombs are basically around the corner, and you can walk to the Bahia Palace in maybe ten minutes. But here’s the thing—you’re also close enough to the mellah and the newer parts of the city that you don’t feel trapped in tourist-land. The neighborhood has this authentic residential feel where you’ll see kids playing in the alleys and women heading to the local hammam. Parking isn’t really an issue because, well, you won’t need a car here, but if you’re arriving by taxi, just know that drivers sometimes get a bit creative with the final stretch through the narrow streets. The riad’s breakfast (when I had it) was proper Moroccan fare, not some watered-down continental spread, and they serve it at a reasonable pace—no rushing you out the door. Overall, it’s the kind of place where you can actually relax between sightseeing sessions, and after a few days in Marrakech, trust me, you’ll appreciate having a peaceful retreat to come back to.

  Breakfast was good and tasty. Nothing out of this world. We got the presidential room and the pictures don't do it justice. The location was good. About a 15 minute walk from the main markets and around the Riad there was a good few restaurants and small shops as well. I even got my haircut literally opposite for £8. Was a pretty good job as well. The staff are very accommodating and the haman massage was really good! The pool on the roof is not big but nice for a quick relaxed dip.

  We had an amazing stay at Riad Omara al Kasbah! From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and at home. Our host Moustapha was absolutely the best – incredibly kind, attentive, and always going out of his way to help us with anything we needed. 🙂
  We also had the pleasure of trying the traditional hammam and massage experience, and it was great. Bouchra did an incredible job – one of the best massages we’ve ever had.
  Our room was beautiful, comfortable, and full of charm. Breakfast was good and traditional each morning. The whole Riad felt like a warm, traditional Moroccan family home – a truly authentic experience.
  Highly recommend to anyone visiting Marrakech. We will definitely be back!

  Good location, personal attention, very comfortable room. The manager, who seemed to always be there, was very helpful and accommodating when I was sick. Great value. Close to all the activity, but not in the middle of it. The Hallam (spa) was a great experience.

  The design of the room was quite unique — almost like a little palace. I usually prefer minimalism, but it was a fun change for a night. The staff were friendly, helpful, and made us feel welcome. The location in the Kasbah is great for exploring the area.
  
  What could be improved: The coffee at breakfast wasn’t very good, and the rooftop didn’t have much space to relax. Also, it can be a bit noisy if your windows face the street.

  Loved my stay here. The staff are lovely and helpful, the rooms are spacious and comfortable. The Riad is such a sweet place to stay and makes way for an authentic Moroccan experience. I got the breakfast included and the choice was great, the roof terrace is pretty with a pool to cool off. Highly recommend this place. Great location too.
