I mean, you’ll still hear the call to prayer echoing off the walls and maybe some late-night chatter from the nearby cafés, but it’s not like being right on the main drag where the donkey carts rumble past at 6 AM. The hammam is what really sold me though – after spending days wandering through the souks and getting lost in those maze-like streets (which, let’s face it, everyone does), having your own traditional steam bath feels like such a luxury. It’s not huge, but it’s authentic, with those beautiful zellige tiles that stay cool even when the rest of the place is warming up.

What I really appreciated was how the staff seemed to understand that foreign visitors need a bit of guidance without being pushy about it. They’ll point you toward the better tagine spots that aren’t tourist traps, and they actually know which days the local markets are worth visiting. The rooms have that classic riad feel – thick walls that keep things cool, traditional textiles, and those gorgeous geometric patterns everywhere – but they’ve clearly invested in decent mattresses and reliable hot water, which honestly makes all the difference. The 7.6 rating feels about right to me; it’s not perfect (the WiFi can be spotty, and navigating to the front door with luggage is… an adventure), but there’s something really special about falling asleep to the sounds of the medina and waking up in this peaceful courtyard oasis. If you’re the type who wants to experience authentic Marrakech without roughing it too much, this place hits that sweet spot pretty well.

  This property is literally a hidden gem. Very spacious, plenty of room for 6 of us and at a stretch could fit an 8 people family. Its best feature was the roof terrace and the courtyard in the centre. We had plenty of fly in visitors who woke us up bright and early every morning. It’s a 10 min walk to the main busy area and because it’s tucked away you’re not disturbed by the hustle and bustle of the after Maghrib chaos on the main alleyway when the shops open in the evening. We even had a cleaning maid that visits every day which is not mentioned in the advert but that was just another perk to staying here. She really helped out when we had lots of early morning excursions planned as she tidied up before we returned.
  
  What could be improved: One of the en-suite bathrooms had a very loose shower head. The second shower had a blocked drainage hole so emptied slowly. The doors creaked in all the rooms so not great when moving between rooms after hours and people are sleeping. One of the bathrooms had a toilet in an awkward spot so best left for kids to use it. It had a small shower room on the ground floor with a similar awkward toilet so best for kids.
